As we go about our daily lives, it is necessary to approach things from a learning perspective. Keeping an open-minded approach to life and life's events goes a long way in problem solving. We don't have to have all the answers and should not pretend we do, but we should, with kindness, be willing to accept another's point of view.
While it is important to have our own
boundaries by which we liveĺ, we must also maintain healthy ones. We must be patient. Things take time, and everyone is not of the same understanding as we might be at a particular time.Trust. We may have one thing in mind and may not have communicated it clearly. So again, patience and restraint are needed to get our message across. Let go of control.
Being open-hearted does not give anyone a reason to disrespect or intimidate you. You must level up and stay centered.
If we learn anything from horses, it is that they are surefooted and strong. They rarely wobble around. They don't give up easily; they stay the course every time. In the same way, in the midst of chaos and confusion, it might be easier to become judgemental and withdraw. But quite often, we need to hold the torch close to our hearts and be sure we will not be consumed by the flaring flames.

We are celebrating the transition of kalakunjin

“Horses have been around for millions of years, evolving into the majestic beings we see today. When you are blessed to be in their presence, something magical happens. And if you are an Autistic being, there is a unique and most amazing connection. This is the safe space Being With Horses has created for rescued horses and their offspring, Autistics, and other unique children of diverse abilities who are typically misunderstood and undervalued. Here, they are all able to be themselves authentically, both beneficiaries of support and teachers to us as human beings honoured to care for and love them. It’s a place where, for years, my son Quinn has always been welcomed with open arms by beautiful human beings who selflessly love and care for a menagerie of animals with all of their energy with purposeful intent. Today, my son was again embraced by that love as he was taken right from Buccoo beach and gently placed on one of the beautiful horses that were allowing people to ride with them. This is truly a gift as the horses usually choose the riders and always welcome Quinn. As their people companions navigate this experience, there is Veronika and another guide in the water, and there is Len on the beach. Together they forge an invisible safety net for their horse companions communicating with them in different ways - a look, a touch, gentle words, all the while sharing important knowledge about the horses that is shifting mindsets about our relationship with these beautiful beings of light. This is an experience that always brings joy to all and wonderful lasting memories. Thank you. Being with horses for all that you do for our local community and your herd family.
