Northern Taekwondo Championships 2026
Warm-Up Event for the US Open Martial Arts Championships
Team Pyramid Martial Arts Academy proudly competed at the Northern Taekwondo Championships 2026, held on Sunday 26th April 2026 at the Tacarigua Indoor Sport Arena.
This event served as an important warm-up competition for Team Pyramid as the athletes continue their preparation for the upcoming US Open Martial Arts Championships 2026.
The team comprised 9 young warriors, all competing in the Sparring Continuous Category. Their performances showed heart, discipline, courage, and the fighting spirit that Team Pyramid Martial Arts Academy continues to develop.
Team Results:
Asia Balgobin – White Belt
Representing the toddlers, Asia displayed bravery and confidence, placing 3rd.
Analaya Simmonds – Orange Belt
Analaya delivered a strong performance and placed 1st.
Satyam Singh – Green Belt
Satyam competed with focus and determination, placing 1st in the Green Belt Division.
Abrielle Simmonds – Orange Belt
Abrielle showed excellent fighting spirit and skill, placing 1st in the Orange Belt Division.
Taashveer Rooplal – Blue Belt
Taashveer stepped up to compete in the advanced ranks. He won his first fight against a black belt, showing great courage and ability, before losing in the semi-finals against one of our own Team Pyramid athletes, Nathan Daisley.
Zsen Dyer – Red Belt
Zsen competed in the Red Belt Division and placed 3rd, despite suffering a knee injury during the competition.
Sarvesh Ramdass – Advanced Division
Sarvesh fought hard and placed 3rd in the Advanced Division.
AJ Balgobin – Advanced Division
AJ gave a strong performance and placed 2nd in the Advanced Division.
Nathan Daisley – Advanced Division
Nathan delivered an outstanding performance and placed 1st in the Advanced Division.
Overall Team Performance
The Northern Taekwondo Championships 2026 served as an excellent warm-up for the Team Pyramid US Open Team. The athletes are looking sharp, confident, and prepared as they continue their journey toward the international stage.
Congratulations to all 9 warriors of Team Pyramid Martial Arts Academy. The journey continues.
