Today we published the new issue of UWI Today in the Sunday Guardian. This month's cover story is the launch of UWI Games 2026. As you read this, students from all five UWI campuses are at St Augustine, competing in 10 sports, from football to table tennis. Approximately 600 students are in T&T, taking part in this celebration of sport and regional community.

In this issue, we also profile high-achieving graduates such as historian Dr Joanne Collins-Gonsalves, author Neigeme Glasgow-Maeda, and stickfighter and artist Keegan Taylor.

This May issue also includes the finale of a three-part series on a research project funded by the Clara Lionel Foundation and implemented by UWI St Augustine's Department of Geography and other partners such as Vetiver TT. The project focuses on early-warning systems for coastal communities and includes drones, cameras, apps, and even natural solutions for dangers like flooding and sargassum pollution.
