The 3rd class of the Ladies Beginner Programme brought us to the no 9 green at BCGC. Chipping just off the green and then putting. The class ended with a fun putting competition. The rain threatened but never came thus allowing us 2 full hours of practice. Next week we are onto mid-irons.

The second class of our Ladies beginners programme saw the participants hitting their 9-irons onto the range. Challenging at first, they soon got the hang of it and began hitting freely. Next week we move to the putting green.

BCGC Ladies Beginner Golf Classes are Underway
Brechin Castle Golf Club is excited to celebrate the first class of our inaugural Ladies Beginner Programme. On Saturday September 26th 2026, 9 enthusiastic ladies took their first swings under the guidance of professional golfer Talin Rajendranath who introduced the group to the fundamentals of the game - grip, posture and stance- before it was time to put the lessons into practice and start hitting the balls into the nets.
This is just the 1st of 6 sessions that are designed to give women who are new to the game, a comfortable and supportive environment in which to learn the basics, build confidence and discover the enjoyment of the sport.

Welcome to golf Ladies, the journey has begun.
