Our ancestors made the difficult journey so ours may have been easier. We honour their bravery, resilience and tenacity. To leave one's home miles and miles away to journey upon a ship in search of a different land with the hope of betterment could not have been an easy decision to make.

I honour my forefathers because I am all that I am because of them. My strength comes directly from my great grand parents. I feel it all the time. I cannot explain it but I recognize that my greatness was passed down from them. They protect me everyday in every way.
