The Trinidad and Tobago Automobile Sports Association (TTASA) proudly represented the nation at the recently concluded FIA American Congress held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Bringing together key regional leaders from North, Central and South America, the prestigious annual congress served as a premier platform for member clubs of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) to discuss vital developments in both Motorsport and Mobility.
Representing TTASA at the high-level international gathering were Honorary Treasurer Mr. Jody Ali and Honorary Secretary Mr. Kevin Surujbally. Their active participation ensured that Trinidad and Tobago’s perspective, growth aspirations, and strategic goals in local motorsport development were prominently featured in regional dialogues.
Opening the landmark event alongside Argentinian President Javier Milei, FIA President H.E. Mohammed Ben Sulayem emphasized the collaborative spirit of the gathering, stating:
“Across mobility too, this is a region undergoing significant change. Our Member Clubs are at the heart of that transformation, and this Congress is about bringing their knowledge together, sharing solutions and ensuring the FIA continues to deliver for Mobility and Motorsport communities across the Americas.”
Discussions throughout the congress focused heavily on charting a sustainable way forward, exploring innovative automotive technologies, enhancing safety standards across grassroots and professional racing, and expanding mobility infrastructure initiatives throughout the Americas.
“It was a tremendous privilege to engage with regional leaders, share insights and collaborate on the future of Motorsport and Mobility,” noted the TTASA delegation. “The insights gained here will be invaluable as we continue to elevate standards locally and regionally.
TTASA extends its deepest and most sincere gratitude to the Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA) for their exceptional hospitality, seamless organization, and warm welcome extended to all international delegations throughout the event.
With strong international partnerships forged and a clear strategic roadmap ahead, TTASA remains committed to advancing the future of motorsport development in Trinidad and Tobago.
