Surrender 🧡
Honoring Mr. & Mrs. Maharaj ❤️
As we close this series of honoring some remarkable women we have been blessed to know.
Its only fitting to celebrate not just one extraordinary individual, but a couple whose influence has touched our lives for more than fifteen years.
Mr. and Mrs. Neela Maharaj.
I first met Miss Neela when she brought her eldest child to swimming lessons.
He was a handful of energy. 😊
Together we often wondered if he would ever slow down long enough to settle into the lesson!
Years later, when I became a parent and found myself asking many of the same questions about my children, Miss Neela offered the same simple but powerful wisdom she had always carried.
"They will find their way."
Over the years, I had the privilege of teaching all four of their children to swim.
All with different personalities and different obstacles.
All completing exceptional well, the entire swimming programs of our school.
The lessons I received from her extend far beyond the pool.
Some days it's Miss Neela, Some days its Aunty Neela
Some days its Mrs Maharaj.
Miss Neela is a woman whose life, quietly speaks for itself.
She embodies duty, simplicity, elegance, faithfulness, and unwavering love.
Through her example, she has taught me one of life's greatest lessons .
The art of surrender👏 Surrendering what I cannot control.
Surrendering the situations I did not create.
Surrendering what was not mines to fix.
Surrendering to a higher being.
Trusting it will work out .🧡
She has reminded me that while ambition, achievement, and success all have their place.
The things that truly sustain us are kindness, faith, humility, and love.
Principles we hold highly
at our school.
She is one of the humblest people I have ever known.
No matter what life brings, I know I can call upon her, and she will always find the time to listen and offer wisdom.
Sometimes exactly what I need to hear.
And sometimes what I don't want to hear,
but always what I needed.
As a teacher, we owe this to our students and parents if we want them to grow.
Then there is Mr. Maharaj steady, calm, grounded, and consistent. ⭐
Every time I see him,
I am reminded that strength does not always need to be loud.
There is a quiet confidence and peace about him that leaves a lasting impression.
To this day, I still wonder how both of them manage to accomplish so much.
They dont seem to have the same 24 hours as everyone else!🤣
I always tell them,
They are lucky to have each other.
While each would say
"I am the lucky one "🙃
Together, they represent something increasingly rare.
A family built upon strong values, deep faith, genuine service, and authentic love.
These are not values they simply speak about.
They live them every day. They have passed them on to their children.
They have shared them generously with everyone fortunate enough to cross their path, including us.
Though we may not see each other often, I know they are only a phone call away.
Their guidance, encouragement, and friendship remains with us long after each interaction has ended.
Their embody a quote that has always resonated deeply with me.
"People may forget what you say.
People may forget what you did.
But they will never forget how you made them feel."
Mr. and Mrs. Maharaj, thank you for the example you have set.
The wisdom you have shared.
The love you have extended to so many.
We honor you both with deep gratitude and admiration.🧡
Your impact reaches,
Far beyond your family.
Far beyond the pool.
Far beyond what words can fully express.
With Love Always

Mrs Marsha Ramasray Pedro ❤️
I have known Marsha since my primary school days.
We both attended Debe Hindu School.
I can still remember passing in front of her house on mornings on my way to school.
Even then, there was something special about her.
Her kindness, humility, grace, and quiet strength.
One of the first things anyone notices about Marsha is her unwavering faith.
She truly embodies the words,
“We walk by faith,
Not by sight.”
She has always carried herself with dignity, poise, and elegance.
She lived right, spoke right, and treated others with respect and compassion.
Those qualities have never changed.
Over the years, Marsha has been a source of wisdom and encouragement in my life.
She has given me invaluable advice about investing in my children, investing in my business, and most importantly, investing in my spiritual well being.
She has always encouraged me
To embrace life,
Remain open to love,
And never stop growing.
Her swimming journey has not been an easy one.
On days she wanted to strangle me when I gave her a workout.
Her favorite quote to me was
"Miss Lisa Malicious Compliance!"
Doing it fuh spite! 🤣
Through it all, she knew what I did was from a place of Love.
For years, she has been telling me,
“Lisa you need to write a book.”
She already has the title ready “Love in Spite Off.”
The beautiful thing is that those words describes Marsha perfectly.
Through life's challenges whether at home, at work, with her health, or through disappointments,
Marsha has continued to choose love.
She has loved and served her God, her family, her community, her church, her colleagues and her friends.
She loves because that is who she is !
Love is not just something Marsha does.
It is something she lives.
Marsha has made a conscious decision
To live in Love ❤️
A woman of faith, goodness, righteousness, and substance. 🌼
Even today, she continues to inspire everyone around her through the way she lives and serves others.
We honor this outstanding woman in this Special series.
On behalf of the entire Lisa Bee's Swimming Team we say
Thank you, Marsha.🌼
For your unwavering support, your prayers, your wisdom, and your friendship throughout the years.
Thank you for quietly speaking love, light, and hope into our lives.
Thank you for always checking in, always caring, and always reminding us that we are loved.🌼
The world is a better place because of people like you.
We love you, appreciate you, and so grateful for the blessing you continue to be in our lives. ❤️

Mrs Priya Harnanan
This journey began with a parent simply wanting the best for her children.
Over time, that journey became something so much deeper.
We first met Ms. Priya Harnanan when her son and daughter joined our swimming program many years ago.
Her son was only five years old.
Today he is in secondary school.
While her daughter is almost out of secondary school.
For teachers like us,
there is no greater gift than a parent's trust.
Ms. Priya and her family placed the care of their two young children into our hands.
That confidence has never been taken lightly.💯
Today, both of her children have successfully completed our swimming programs and grown into confident swimmers.
Both competing in Secondary School competitions.
One achieved Bronze Medallion Certification with the Trinidad and Tobago Life Saving Society.
The other Life Saving 3 Level.
Ms. Priya is a quiet, devoted and respectful young lady who supports her children and their schools wholeheartedly.
Even when she did not fully understand certain aspects of the swimming journey.
She never allowed uncertainty to keep her from asking questions.
One thing we laugh about today is her first impression of me.
Apparently, I seemed very unapproachable.🤣
Now I think she realize that is my regular face!😂
Yet despite that first impression, she still trusted me with the care and development of her children.
For that I will always be grateful.🥰
What makes this story even more special is that eventually Ms. Priya began her own swimming journey with us.
After much begging !🙃
To witness her blossom into a swimmer herself has been absolutely wonderful.🤩
She surrendered herself to the learning process completely.
Trusted us every step of the way.
She has grown into a capable swimmer.
Ms. Priya reminds us that growth begins with trust!
Trust in the process.
Trust in the people guiding you.
Trust in yourself to ask for help.
Trust to ask questions when you don't understand.
We are incredibly thankful for families like hers who have walked this journey with us over the 27 years.
Watching both parent and children grow together has been a privilege we will never take for granted. ❤️
As we continue celebrating outstanding women in May. Here's to you.🥂
Love you Mrs Priya.

🌺Brave
Ms .Rebecca Noel.
There is a level of awe watching someone choose themselves in spite off what the world expected of them.
Society can place so much responsibilities on women, we hardly get the chance to ask.
"Is this the life I wanted?
"Am I living my life to the fullest?"
Like so many women of her generation,
Miss Rebecca carries herself with grace, responsibility, and quiet strength.
Along the journey, Ms. Rebecca made a beautiful decision to live life for herself.
To explore.
To try new things.
To embrace joy without apology.
One of those brave decisions was walking into our swimming class, a young woman pass 60 yrs.🤓
Meeting Ms. Rebecca has been a blast.
It's like meeting a sister from a different lifetime. 🥹
You can't stay serious or vex around her.
She is funny, talented and unapologetically real.
She reminded us that it is never too late to begin again.
Never too late to learn.
Never too late to laugh.
To grow,
To challenge yourself,
Or to discover parts of yourself you have never met before.
She has taught us that we only get one life.
One chance at this beautiful, unpredictable journey and we should live it fully and unapologetically!
Speak your truth.
Tell people how you feel.
Try the things that scare you.
And even if you move slower than others,
Even if you don’t succeed immediately,
Keep showing up for yourself.🌺
Ms. Rebecca reminds us that life is not about perfection.
It is about presence.
About enjoying every season and every moment for exactly what it is.
Thank you,
Ms. Rebecca Noel, for showing all of us what courage, freedom, and self discovery truly look like. Your journey is inspiring more people than you know. ❤️

🎂Kindness 🍰
Ms. Lauren Samaroo is the 3rd Woman in our series we want to honor for May .
She has become such a beautiful part of our swim school family.
Miss Lauren carries herself with grace and humility.
Her dedication to excellence is evident.
She believes in giving her very best always. 🎖
So many times, Ms. Lauren has entered our home and our pool environment bringing joy through her presence.
And through her generosity as well.
Thoughtful treats and cupcakes for the children during swim classes.
Touching so many hearts.
If we had to describe her superhero trait, it would simply be...
She treats everyone with kindness ❤️
That kind of spirit is rare.
We are truly grateful that Ms. Lauren chose to be part of our swim school journey.
She is more than a swimmer to us.
She is a gem, and we appreciate her deeply.
Thank you, Ms. Lauren, for being exactly who you are. 💐.

COURAGE ⚘️
Mrs Kimlyn Boodram Persad
There’s something deeply admirable about people who are willing to begin again. 🌊
As we grow and become recognized in certain areas of life, it can become harder to step into spaces where we are no longer the expert.
Fear of judgment.
Fear of struggling publicly.
Fear of what others may think.
Fear can stop many people from trying something new.
⚘️That’s why we want to acknowledge and celebrate Mrs Kimlyn Bodram Persad.
As we continue to honor some outstanding women for the month of May.⚘️
Known and respected for her talent and skill in music. She still chose to step outside of her comfort zone and begin her swimming journey with courage and humility.
She showed up with an open mind.
Applied herself fully to every class.
Never allowed fear or pride to stand in the way of growth.
Her willingness to learn, laugh, try again, and trust the process has been truly inspiring to watch.🌷
We are so proud of the work she has done.
We deeply appreciate her friendship, guidance, and beautiful spirit.
Thank you for reminding others that growth never stops,
That strength is not just found in what we already know,
But also in what we are brave enough to learn. 💙

The journey continues.
