WATER EVENT

MATURA RIVER ADVENTURE

RATING: MODERATE

COST: $80.00 per person

DURATION: 4 hours (Round Trip)

RESTRICTIONS: Not suitable for children under 12 years

MEETING POINT: Royal Castle Mobile Unit carpark (after Mausica Junction on the CRH)

DESCRIPTION:

A hike for all Water Lovers! Our journey begins along a wide, largely uncovered, dirt trail bordered by tall trees and lush vegetation on either side. The road, straight for the most part, undulates with patches of light shade for about 25 mins before we change course, leaving the beaten path, and entering the forest. From here our trek continues for a short distance, firstly along relatively flat terrain, before descending steeply to exit the forest at the water's edge.

Here we fasten our life jackets and immerse ourselves in the first of many fun-filled gorges to come! Now we make our way upstream, walking and wading, until we come to the gorges of Blu Pool where we spend a short time diving, relaxing on the rocks and soaking our cares away, before heading back the way we came.

But the fun is far from over! Passing by the first gorge we met as we left the forest, we now continue downstream, making our way to the pristine Mermaid Pools. Here the fun is not in the destination though, but the journey itself - we walk, wade and swim our way downstream, stopping to take a quick massage or just abandon our cares like children amidst the rapids.

At Mermaid Pools we don our land legs once more to make the short uphill trek to the open dirt trail - our minds and hearts however, still lingering behind in the river...

In the interest of safety, Life Jackets are typically *MANDATORY* and will be provided. Hikers in possession of their own may also bring them along.

On June 24th GALFA BEACH and coastal area, suffered the after effects of an earthquake measuring 7.5 in magnitude that rocked Venezuela.
It altered the coast line, and some marine life were left stranded and died as a result of the upward movement of approximately 20 feet high.

HIKE - St. Quintin coconut Estate to Columbus Bay.

RATING- Moderate
DURATION - 90 mins
Flat terrain.

NB..Walk with your cap/hat, long-sleeved top, extra water, and sunscreen.

After the GALFA EXPEDITION, we drive to the entrance of St Quintin estate and hike through to COLUMBUS Bay, where we'll have lunch and enjoy some "SPLISH SPLASHING".

PACK YOUR SWIM 🏊‍♂️ GEAR, AND JOIN US AS WE CONTINUE TO EXPLORE THE GEMS
💎💎💎 IN THE MATURA RIVER....

The trek starts off on an old logging road, bound on both sides, with PINE, MORA, and OLIVIERE TREES.

A few short and manageable inclines as we start, but tapers off to almost a flat surface with canopy cover for most of the way.

After 45mins we take a trial on our left and start to descend for about 15mins and is GREETED by the FIRST OF THREE POOLS, you put on our swim gear and the rest is up to you!!!

⚠️ NOTICE:

This is not a prepaid registration event! However we encourage pre-registration as hike do have a limit of person that can be accommodated. Walk-ins may not be guaranteed a spot. To secure your spot ,feel free to pre-register by phone, WhatsApp, Messenger, or IG Direct, for this event.
