》✨ UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING BEHIND THE PERFORMANCE
●The performance begins with the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra- We worship the three-eyed one (Lord Shiva), who is fragrant and who sustains and nourishes all beings, just as a ripe cucumber is effortlessly liberated from it’s bandage to the vine, may be liberate us from death for the sake of immortality.
●Followed by The ever popular Shiva Shiva Shankar Hara Hara Shankara- Invocations to Shankar creator of happiness, destroyer of sins or illusion. Victory to Shankara. Come down from all directions. Shankara who performs the cosmic dance manifested visibly. Auspicious, doer of good. Terrifying during cosmic destruction.
●Followed by Om Namah Shivaya by Praveen Moodley-I bow to Lord Shiva; salutations to the auspicious one.
