Round 2 of the TTCB South West Zonal Council 2-day League saw our boys coming up against Rebellions Sports Club. Vijay Sports were sent in to bat and were off to a good start with skipper Videsh Oudit making a brisk 40. Vijay Sports were in a spot of bother after the fall of the 5th wicket with the score on 85. This wicket brought Brandon Ramkhalawan to the middle. Together with Vicky Oudit, they rescued the innings with a 107 run partnership. Brandon made a patient 27 and Vicky fell one hit away from a century with an elegant 94. Vijay Sports ended their innings at 238 all out. Batting second, Rebellions were massacred by Richie Timothy Sonnylal who spun a web, claming 7 scalps (7- 48). Nayan Basdeo took the big wicket of young Aidan Choon which ended all hopes of a batting resistance by Rebellions who were eventually blowed out for 140, handing Vijay Sports first innings points. In the second innings, Vijay Sports were 85-1 at the close of play with Nayan Basdeo finishing on 40* and the skipper Videsh Oudit on 28*.
