When we feel good, we function well! Agree?!
Evidence suggests that there are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental health and well-being: these are CONNECT, BE ACTIVE, TAKE NOTICE, KEEP LEARNING and GIVE!
Connect: Spend time developing and nurturing healthy relationships.
Be Active: Try to engage in activities that you enjoy, and that keeps you active.
Take Notice: Be more aware of the present moment, the world around you, and your own feelings and thoughts.
Keep Learning: Learning new skills can help boost confidence and give you a sense of achievement.
Give: Helping others, saying thank you, or giving someone a smile can improve your self-esteem and emotional health.

Positive Mental Health refers to the presence of positive emotions and good functioning in both individual and social environments.
Some examples of such are: spending quality time with friends and family, working in a job or finding an activity that is meaningful - which can provide a sense of purpose, or even learning a new skill which helps support feelings of pride and achievement!

Together we unite, as we’re stepping into Mental Health Awareness Month.
During the month of May we would like to create greater awareness on the importance of taking care of ourselves, our loved ones, and talking more openly about Mental Health.
Anyone can be affected despite their level of success or their place on the food chain.
So here’s a gentle reminder -
Mental health challenges don’t define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain.
Let’s do all we can to support each other. The more we talk about it, the more normal the conversation becomes.
