Head instructor is Eddy Devisse, renshi 6 dan. Graded and recognized by:
- Confederación Latinoamericana de Kendo (CLAK)
- Canadian Kendo Federation (CKF)
- All Japan Kendo Federation (全日本剣道連盟)

Another participation of Kendo Federation of Trinidad & Tobago to the yearly Butokuden Kendo Dojo international gasshuku (BIG). Record participation this year from USA, Canada, Brasil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Mexico, Israel and of course Trinidad.

🎌 Introducing the Japanese Cultural Association of Trinidad and Tobago! (JCATT) 🎌

We are excited to announce the formation of the first ever Association, dedicated to promoting Japanese culture and arts in all their forms, fostering friendship, and building stronger cultural ties between Japan and Trinidad and Tobago!

To celebrate our launch, we are proud to present our very first event:

👘 Yukata Dressing, Ikebana, and Tea Ceremony Demos: Hachidorikai

🍱 Live Cooking Demonstrations: Embassy of Japan

🥋 Judo Demonstration: Queen’s Park Judo Club

🎵 Japanese Music and Dance Performances

♟️ Learn to Play Dobutsu Shogi (Let's Catch the Lion): Hosted by CGCL

🎤 Japanese Speech Contest: Hosted by UWI CLL and the Embassy of Japan

🎭 Japanese Themed Cosplay Contest – Organized by ALIAS Entertainment
Prizes include anime hampers, a prized Kodachi sword, and more!
(Note: Cosplayed characters must be identifiably Japanese to highlight the cultural focus of the day!)
