NATIONS CUP CARIBBEAN 2026: A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER

What a weekend of racing at the Wallerfield International Raceway. The Nations Cup Caribbean 2026 brought together the rising young karting talent from Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago for a competition that delivered thrills and action.

In the end, it was Trinidad and Tobago who came out on top! 🇹🇹

Racing on home soil, our drivers defended the title in style, taking the Champion Nation honours with a commanding 208 points, ahead of Barbados (183.5), Jamaica (116.5) and Bermuda (114.5).

Leading the charge was Jonathan Charan, whose outstanding performance across both days topped the individual standings, a superb drive from start to finish. He was backed by a determined Trinidad and Tobago squad in Abhishek Ramdeen, Axl Garcia, Christian Gajadhar and Varin Bhimsingh, who fought hard for every point on home ground.

But this weekend was about far more than the result. Thirteen young drivers, all in identical machinery, went wheel-to-wheel in a true test of skill. The racing was hard and fair, and the future of Caribbean motorsport looks very bright indeed.

A special mention for Axl Garcia, who had a mishap in Sunday’s final. Axl is missing from our celebration photos, but he was there in the thick of the fight all weekend and remains very much part of this team. We wish him a full and speedy recovery, and we look forward to seeing him back on track soon. 💪

To the drivers, parents and teams who made the journey to Trinidad and Tobago, thank you for coming and making this so special. The overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received from the competitors and teams has meant the world to us. You carried your nations with pride, and you did the sport proud.

Thank you also to the FIA for its support through the Motor Sport Funding Programme, our ASN, the Trinidad and Tobago Automobile Sports Association, to the Barbados Motoring Federation, to our officials and volunteers, and to everyone who came out to witness the next generation of Caribbean racing!

PORT OF SPAIN — Trinidad and Tobago will host the Nations Cup Caribbean 2026, a four-day international junior karting championship, at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway from August 13 to 16.

Thirteen drivers aged 10 to 15, representing Barbados, Bermuda, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, will compete for both individual and team honours. It is the first time Trinidad and Tobago has hosted an international karting event of this level.

All competitors will race identical karts supplied and maintained by the Barbados Motoring Federation, which serves as the event’s technical partner...

The Cup is on home soil... and the defending champions aren’t giving it up without a fight! 🇹🇹

Representing the host nation, Abhishek Ramdeen, Jonathan Charan, Axl Garcia, Christian Gajadhar and Varin Bhimsingh carry the red, white and black into Nations Cup Caribbean 2026 as Trinidad & Tobago returns as the reigning champion nation.

Representing the blue, gold and black, Oliver Judd, Aeden Bruce, Jordyn Hinkson and Jaylan Priddee take the charge for Barbados as the Nations Cup Caribbean returns for its second edition! Barbados will be looking to make its mark on Trinbagonian soil.
