"Kobudo" the art of using Okinawan Weapons is essential to the training of advanced students of the old Karate arts. These were just some of the weapons used, some trained right here at Senshiken Karate. Can you name all? And how bout commenting with a number, the one that you would most like to hear us explain what some historians had to say about the controversial origin of these weapons.
Classes have not yet started back, but will soon be on again in the PoS area. Those who have been added to the mailing/calling list will get an early heads up. Those who wish to be added simply msg this page.

PUSH UPS:
Overuse of Regular Push Ups can lead to a dorsal impingement.
I understand now why many of my old senseis encouraged knuckle push ups so much, not only do they harden the knuckles, they put the wrist in an ergonomic position to strengthen stabilizers in line with a punch. Old martial martial arts training is revealing to us knowledge that we are only now able to explain by science. Some old practices were harmful to the body in the long run (such as walking on the knuckle of the toes for conditioning), but others were ahead of their time (such as isometrics and moderate conditioning according to wolf's law). Science and Art, an unstoppable combination.
Strong Stance is the foundation of strong Karate. Weak Stance = Weak Karate.
Due to serious weather conditions (that appear to be at least the tailing of a tropical storm), and resulting flooding, class will be canceled for the day. We sincerely apologize for any convince caused
