Let's meet
Deneka Thomas is a Trinidad and Tobago-based performance poet, arts educator, and creative cultural strategist with over a decade of experience in storytelling and community development through the arts.
They are the 2018 First Citizens National Poetry Slam Champion, a six-time finalist, and have performed on regional and international stages, including TEDx Port of Spain, CARIFESTA XV, Canada, Kenya and the United States.
Deneka is also the Founder and Creative Director of Bacano Leaf Creative Enterprise, the organisation behind Bars Poetry Slam and Bacano Bookshop, creating platforms for Caribbean artists and making literature more accessible.

Come early, settle in and spend some time meeting our horses before the storytelling begins.

Join us for a magical evening in the countryside as we bring Trinidad & Tobago's beloved folklore to life through captivating storytelling, live poetry, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. You'll also have the opportunity to meet and interact with our horses throughout the evening.
