Water is the remedy for almost anything. You might wonder what I mean by that. I can go on into a lengthy explanation but here's something water can help you with when engaged in an active lifestyle:
1 keeps your body hydrated
2 helps with muscle recovery and the "flushing" out of lactic acid build up after an intense workout, whether the workout was a cardio workout or a wight training workout
3 helps with muscle growth since water is needed to fuel muscle tissue with ATP (adenosine tri phosphate) and muscle building protein
5 cleanses the blood and organs. Especially important when we consume high amounts of protein or use sport supplements
6 helps energise the body
7 ever have trouble sleeping. Try drinking a nice cool glass of water. You might need to empty the bladder but it will help bring on a restful state
8 helps recovery from headaches and migraines
9 keeps our skin clean, clear, youthful and glowing
10 keeps muscles flexible and elastic and also beneficial for healthy joints.
11 helps in the metabolism of fat and also burning fat
12 too little water can actually lead to bloating. Its like osmosis, when you consume high amounts of water, your body srops water weight since it detects a surplus. No need for OTC diuretics or sitting in a sauna.
13 drinking water throughout the day keeps the breath fresh and pleasant
14 aids in digestion
15 aids in regular and comfortable bowel movement...in other words, less likely you will get constipated
16 prevent muscle cramps
17 helps in the reduction of cellulite

5 Tips to Help You Drink More

If you think you need to be drinking more, here are some tips to increase your fluid intake and reap the benefits of water:

Have a beverage with every snack and meal.
Choose beverages you enjoy; you're likely to drink more liquids if you like the way they taste.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. Their high water content will add to your hydration. About 20% of our fluid intake comes from foods.
Keep a bottle of water with you in your car, at your desk, or in your bag.
Choose beverages that meet your individual needs. If you're watching calories, go for non-caloric beverages or water.
