Huge Congrats to the 19 scholarship winners at Presentation College San Fernando, but a special shoutout to Runner #100 at the inaugural Run Pres 5K in 2018, who hails from the neighboring Naparima Girls High School.

This runner who was coincidentally assigned this special number, placed 1st in the Female 16-19 Category, but that seemed like only one of the few firsts that would immediately follow.

Yesterday, this runner was announced as one of the two President’s Medal Winners for 2019!!

Congratulations Sharvaani on your phenomenal accomplishment, and not only being a scholar, but being a well rounded student, and a disciplined runner.

Thank You Bafasports.
It was a pleasure collaborating with, and supporting a local entity for this race, and we look forward to the next leg of our Run Pres 5K event very soon!

The annual Run Pres 5K returned in 2019, and headed back to the hilly course that provided athletes with a new challenge in 2018.

In addition to the overall male and female prizes, there were 14 additional age group categories and special prizes awarded.

Each finisher received their unique 2019 finisher medal, as a memento to commemorate their accomplishment.

Thank you to Robert Krogh from Crow’s Nest for another fantastic aerial video of the 2019 Edition of the Run Pres 5K.

This definitely made the course look flat!

Medal Monday and Run 1 For Mikey!!

After the one big race last weekend, there was the one big race this weekend! We’re sure you’re happy for the long weekend to recuperate from the hills and the copious amounts of carbs in the Divali celebrations!

But while we’re recovering, the next segment of our race took off with a head start!

Runners around the globe have already begun the virtual segment of the Run Pres 5K, and we already have runners in England and Dubai!

(More details coming on how you can do this too)

Across in England, Lt. Timothy Westmaas a former PL 1st Pres Sea Scout, and currently a Royal Navy weapons engineer; and further across in Dubai, resident Sheriff of the global village Ryan Mitchell are already rocking their bling.

Last Saturday was also the 5th anniversary of the passing of beloved former principal Bro Michael Samuel, and Presmen around the world embarked on the annual Take 1 For Mikey, getting together to share a meal, drink and gather in memory of the great man.

So while it was purely coincidental that the race also took place on that day, we now have a new way to celebrate the life of an educator and National Award recipient who gave back so much for his community, and would have been smiling down as YOU - the running community, came out to give back by way of your efforts and contributions to the Union Hall Restoration Project.

You are the first ones to Run 1 For Mikey. Congratulations and Thank You!!
