Tobago Basketball Zonal Commission (TBZC)

It has come to the attention of the Commission that there is a mischievous and misguided invitation being circulated that contradicts the official date of the Annual General Meeting of the Tobago Zone.

The Commission wishes to advise the Public and the Basketball Community at large that the official date for the Annual General Meeting is set for January 04, 2023 at Barcode, Milford Road, Tobago from 6.30 p.m.

Persons are asked to disregard any information being circulated outside of this date. For any further information please contact Kerry Celestine, Assistant Secretary at 754-6078.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Tobago Zone will he held January 04, 2023 at 6.30 pm at Barcode, Milford Road, Scarbrough, Tobago.

All affiliated Basketball Clubs and Teams are encouraged to attend this important and crucial meeting.

The main item on the AGENDA is the election of a new Executive to manage the affairs of the Zone and to reactivate Basketball on the island.

We, as the Turkish Basketball Federation, are happy to announce that the 2nd International Basketball Business Seminar will be held between the 3rd and 4th of September, in Istanbul.

The FIBA-approved seminar, which will be organized under the leadership of TBF and in cooperation with FIBA (International Basketball Federation) will be held in Turkish and English.

The International Basketball Management Seminar will be held with the presentations of experts on the whys and hows of generational differences, strategy, leadership, basketball management, and marketing subjects.

About the seminar:

The primary purpose of the 2nd International Basketball Management Seminar is to create an information-sharing and networking experience that will bring together all basketball shareholders.

Professionals and experts will meet with the participants from the USA, Great Britain, Spain, and Türkiye during the seminar.

The Central American and Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CONCENCABA) is hosting a Basketball Coaches Clinic facilitated by Coach Eduard Torres Girbau.

The National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago (NBFTT) has been afforded a maximum of 50 coaches, with participants being decided by the first 50 persons to complete their registration.

The Tobago Basketball Zonal Commission extends depends condolences to the family of Keith "Dino" Davidson on his passing earlier this evening.

Mr. Davidson has dedicated his time providing service at the both the Executive and Community levels advancing the Sports of Basketball.

The Commission acknowledges the sterling contribution of Mr Davidson to the development of Basketball in Tobago and advises that Mr. Davidson's passing came as a shock and on the heels as Tobago is battling with a pandemic crisis at this time.
