Available for private & group classes & teaching throughout Trinidad If I’m feeling down or anxious, yoga is my stability and grounding. When I’m happy and contented, yoga is the best way to celebrate. In 2014, I found myself at a crossroads in my life... diagnosis with major depression 2 years prior, coming to terms with my son being on the autism spectrum, a super demanding job as a production supervisor and being a single mama. My life was stagnant, yet overwhelming. Filled with routine and obligations, yet being faced with extreme curve-balls that kept threatening to defeat me. And this was when Yoga Teacher Training entered my life. I signed up with The Sangha Trinidad and it has remained the second best decision of my life. In 2016, I took that decision a step further when I turned my back on a 15 year career focused on chemistry and food science and decided to teach yoga full-time. And months later, there are no regrets, just continuous growth and looking forward to the future. My style draws from my personality… focused, a certain level of serious and level-headedness, so that your practice is done safely. But coupled with my flair to be different… to be able to embody yourself, flaws and all, and recognize your perfect expression of who you are, without expectations or judgement. I teach in a manner which is challenging, but also encouraging to students that they may be able to embrace their inner peace. Yoga is an experience that will transform your thinking, your views on life and the world. Working hard for something that you love is called passion and I have found my passion in yoga.

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a powerful meditation practice where you lie down, relax and embrace a state of conscious rest and deep relaxation. You'll be guided in a practice that allows you to release stress, restore balance between mind and body, and reconnect with yourself on a deeper level.

If you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed, this is a perfect opportunity to practice some loving kindness to yourself and start working towards easing that anxiety, lifting your mood, and reconnecting with your inner peace.

What if the world we experience is, in some way, shaped by the energy we bring to it?

When we soften our judgments, perhaps we begin to see more clearly. When we lead with compassion, perhaps we notice more kindness around us. And when we choose love, even when it isn’t the easiest choice, perhaps we create a little more of it in the world.

We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can begin by changing the world within us by choosing how we show up in it ✨️

🧘‍♀️ October Bring-a-Friend Special! 🧘‍♂️

For the month of October, bring a friend to class and earn yourself a FREE class! 🎉

Here’s how it works:
➡️ Your friend pays for their class, and your next class is on me!

➡️ No limit to how many friends you refer, so the more friends you bring, the more free classes you can earn.

➡️ You don’t have to attend class with your friend. They can come on their own and just let them advise me who referred them when they sign up.

➡️ Only requirement is that your friend must be new to my classes. And any free classes earned must be used by the end of November.

Classes are Monday and Thursday 5:15pm at Zion Fitness House, Sun Plaza. Cost is $60 or reach out for details on class passes

📲 7858376⁣ for more info!

Share the practice, invite a friend, and enjoy a little extra yoga on me! 💞

Not every experience feels like a blessing while we’re living through it and we don’t always get to choose what happens to us, but perhaps we can choose how we meet it. Beneath the disappointment, the loss, or the uncertainty, there may be a lesson we’re not yet ready to see, a strength we haven’t discovered, a perspective that needs to shift, or a part of ourselves asking to grow.

Perhaps the lesson isn't to understand everything immediately, but to stay open to what the experience might be teaching us and what blessing might be hidden within that experience. Maybe the blessing isn’t found in what happened, but in who we become because of it ✨️

Unfortunately, our last day of classes in Valsayn will be September 30th. This was an impending decision and while I had hoped there might be an opportunity for me to remain at this location, I was informed today that this is unlikely.

I’m absolutely devastated. I’ve spent the past 9 years building this amazing community, and the thought of losing the group we’ve created together is incredibly difficult 💔

I’m currently working on confirming the details for a new location where I can rebuild my classes. Just a heads-up that it will not be in Valsayn, and there will be fewer class times initially while I work towards building clientele again. I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I have more information.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for 9 years of your support, commitment and trust. I truly hope this next chapter will be just as special, and that I’ll be able to continue sharing my love of yoga with all of you and with everyone who needs it 🙏

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Aparigraha is the fifth and final of the Yamas and is often translated as non-possessiveness or letting go of attachment. It invites us to examine our tendency to what we hold on to, whether it be possessions, expectations, relationships, achievements, or even ideas about how life should be.

Aparigraha encourages us to appreciate what we have without constantly feeling the need for more. It invites us to release attachment, practice contentment, and trust that letting go doesn't always mean less but sometimes it creates space for something new. When we learn to let go, we create space for greater clarity and understanding of life's true purpose.

Think about what Aparigraha looks like both on and off the mat. On the mat, perhaps it's letting go of the need to achieve the “perfect” pose, releasing expectations about how your practice should look, and accepting where your body is today. Off the mat, it may look like letting go of old resentments, releasing the need to control every outcome, decluttering what no longer serves you, or allowing people and situations to change without holding on too tightly. ✨️

✨Save The Dates✨

Three special yoga classes designed to help you slow down, unwind and rest!

Sun 27th Sept - Yin Stretch & Relaxation
A gentle, slower-paced practice focused on deep stretching and mindful movement. Poses are held for several minutes, with the support of blocks, straps and tennis balls to help release muscular tension, improve flexibility and encourage a deeper sense of relaxation.

Sun 25th Oct - Yoga Nidra
A guided meditation practice that takes you into a state of deep relaxation while maintaining a gentle awareness. Often described as “yogic sleep,” it offers an opportunity to completely slow down and rest.

Sun 29th Nov - Restorative Yoga
A deeply restful practice where the body is fully supported with props while holding gentle poses for longer periods. The focus is less on stretching and more on releasing tension and allowing the body and mind to truly rest.

✨Three different practices. One common intention: REST✨

🕕 6-7pm

Cost is $100 per session. But book all 3 for $250! Spaces are limited!

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Brahmacharya is the fourth of the Yamas and is often translated as moderation or the wise use of energy. While traditionally associated with celibacy, many modern interpretations understand Brahmacharya as finding balance and being mindful of where we direct our time, attention, and life force.

Brahmacharya isn't about restriction or deprivation. At its core, it is the practice of using our energy intentionally rather than impulsively. It asks us to consider whether our actions align with our values and whether we are investing our energy in what truly matters.

Think about what Brahmacharya looks like both on and off the mat. On the mat, Brahmacharya invites us to notice what nourishes us and what depletes us, practicing with steadiness rather than striving for perfection. Off the mat, Brahmacharya encourages us to cultivate healthy boundaries and prioritize meaningful relationships, taking breaks from constant stimulation, and choosing activities that leave you feeling energized rather than depleted ✨️
