“A horse is the projection of people’s dreams about themselves.” — Pam Brown
Where Our Story Began
Beneath the warm sun of Kaohsiung,
our story began.
You stood there in quiet grace,
and I reached out my hand.
Like a touch of snow,
you settled gently into the summer—
and into my heart.
Then, together,
we found our way to Hsinchu.
Each day became a simple ritual:
Brushing your mane.
Sharing apples and carrots.
Watching you run, roll in the sand,
and greet each morning with quiet joy.
I came to understand—
The most precious days
are not the ones filled with extraordinary moments,
but the ones where
I am here,
and so are you.
With the saddle on,
we faced every challenge together.
Every jump before us
asked for courage.
You never hesitated.
And little by little,
I learned to trust—
you,
and myself.
The medals we brought home
tell more than the story of a competition.
They carry every morning,
every stride,
every promise we kept to one another.
To others,
you are a beautiful white horse.
To me,
you are my childhood,
my courage,
and the family that grew beside me.
Wherever the road may lead,
may it always be
you
and me.
