He catched the flag 0.1secs faster than our opponent!!! Isn't it crazy??!!🤯 He became a hero, even for some of the audience in 0.1 secs!

Weee did it!! 🥇in Traditional Mixed bigboat/International category!

The most impressive thing in NSYSU team is PASSION🔥 None of us is professional nor has experience more than 3 years. More than 90% of us are beginners who wanted to experience this tradition and culture in Taiwan 🇹🇼

How did we win the first prize?
It's very simple. We genuinely enjoyed and loved Dragon boat 🐲🛶 ❤️‍🔥

It had not been an easy way since we had so many limitations for trainings and technical skills. But we proved that those are only excuses for hiding the diffidence 🚩

For team members, thank y'all for being a part of us. Showing your commitment to join trainings twice a week and some boat trainings at Lotus Pond. Without y'all, this team couldn't become this strong, passionate, and unforgettable. Hope y'all enjoyed trainings and 3 days of competition 🫶 Most of us have to go back to our home counties. Hopefully we will see each other soon. Bon voyage!!

For the organizers, thank you so much for having such an amazing festival/competition and being patient with us. We are planning to join next year too, so thank you so much in advance. haha

For the weather, thank you for not raining during our races. But it rained sometimes during the festival, it didn't become too hot and we loved it🫰

Last but not least, we really appreciate the huge support from Office of International Affairs. .nsysu We are very thankful for you to have a Dragon boat team, give us opportunity to experience such a wonderful tradition in Taiwan and let us make unforgettable memories in NSYSU student life 💐

Our 2025 Spring season practices have begun since last week🐉💪

Day 1 & 2
We did a brief introduction of what dragon boating is by the lead of our iconic Texan teammember, , and brain of the team,

We are in full swing to win the first prize🥇in International category of Dragon Boat Festival in Kaohsiung for the second year in a row!!

We are still welcoming people. If you are interested, feel free to come to NSYSU swimming pool on Tuesdays & Thursdays around 18:30-20:30 🙌

Training Info / 訓練資訊 🐒🐉🛶

▶ Tuesday & Thursday / 禮拜二、四
▶ 6:30 - 8:30 pm
▶ NSYSU Swimming pool

Bring water bottle, towel, and flip-flops🩴
(No flip-flops are allowed to wear inside the facility⚠)
帶水壺、毛巾跟拖鞋🩴 (泳池內不能穿拖鞋⚠)

Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet.👕 No need to wear swimsuit since we don't get inside the water. But there will be some water splashes while paddling, and poolside is wet sometimes, so be ready for that! (Some of our members have accidentally fallen into the water while paddling...🙊💦)
穿不介意弄濕的舒適衣服👕不用穿泳衣 因為我們不下水。 但練划時會濺起一些水 然後池邊有時會很濕 所以要做好準備！(我們一些隊友在練划時不小心落水...🙊💦)

Attendance will be taken at every training. So join as many trainings as possible. It could affect the decision of who will be on the boat when our managers organize boats for competition.
每次訓練都會記錄出席情況。 因此盡可能多地參加訓練。 當我們的經理組織船隻參加比賽時，這可能會影響誰將在船上的決定。

In case of rainy weather☔, we will update you if we will have a training or not via LINE group asap. But most likely, we still train. When the school closes the swimming pool due to bad weather, we will find a place where we don't get soaked wet and keep training.
如果遇到下雨☔ 我們會盡快在LINE群組告訴你們是否有訓練。 但最有可能的是 我們仍在訓練。當學校因為天氣不好而關閉游泳池時 我們會找一個不被淋濕的地方繼續訓練。

Hi guys, we are NSYSU International Dragon Boat Team!!We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team, representing our university!!

No prior experience is necessary.

Thanks to amazing training and coaching, we won the 2024 Spring Kaohsiung cup in the international category last semester🥇Surprisingly, most of us were beginners!

If you're interested in this fantastic opportunity, please join our first training on 10th of September at 6:30 pm @ NSYSU swimming pool. You are very welcomed just to take a look at our training as well!!

Are you tired of mundane workouts? Bored of treadmills and elliptical machines? Do you want to unleash your inner fire-breather? Well, guess what? We've got an offer that'll make your heart race faster than a dragon chasing its tail!

🔥 **What We're Looking For:**
Enthusiasts who can’t resist the call of the dragon boat. And guess what? You don’t need to be a seasoned rower—we’ll teach you the ropes (or should I say, paddles?)

📅 **When:**
First training: Tuesday, 07/02 at 18:30 (that's dragon o'clock, by the way).

🌊 **Where:**
NSYSU Swimming Pool.

💰 **How Much:**
Pay the entry fee to the pool (don't worry, it won't break your bank) + a mere 30 NT for our lifeguard (who doubles as a dragon whisperer).

🏁 **Our Next Race:**
End of November (mark your calendar!).

🎓 **Students:**
Make sure you're in Kaohsiung during the period up to the race and the race itself (dragons don't do teleportation, unfortunately).

🐲 **Non-Students:**
You're welcome too! But hey, if you're in it for the long haul, we'll be happier than a dragon with a treasure hoard.
