【3D Race Replay — This Week's Big Update】

Five new features landed on the 3D replay page this week:

🆕 Route events — key moments, found for you
Sharp turns, speed bursts and drops, climbs, extended stops, low-altitude
stretches, headwinds and rain crossings are detected automatically from the
GPS data. Tap an event and the replay jumps straight to that moment.

👉 Where: left panel → "Route events" tab

🆕 Flock 3D models
Turn on "Flock models" and every selected bird becomes a 3D pigeon in its
own feather color, flying together — a far more immersive replay.

👉 Where: Bottom toolbar (top right) → ⚙️ Settings → "Flock models"

🆕 Trail coloring
Color the track by speed, altitude or wind load — see where the bird flew
fast and where it fought the wind.

👉 Where: trail button in the toolbar, then tap the "Speed" pill

🆕 Three visual themes
Modern, classic and tech — including a dial-and-gauge look.

👉 Where: Bottom toolbar (top right) → ⚙️ Settings → "Theme"

🆕 More personalization
Metric/imperial, °C/°F, font size and event sensitivity, all in Bottom toolbar (top right) → ⚙️ Settings.

Everything you already loved is still here: 3D satellite terrain replay,
follow/overview/top cameras, weather clouds, rain and wind layers — right
in your phone browser, no app needed.

Two deep dives from around 280 meters. Nearly 150 km/h. 🕊️💨

What happened during this flight?

This is one of the real flight moments shared by Danish fancier Ove Fuglsang Jensen, using Skyleader MODE C and 3D Replay to review his racing pigeons.

With GPS flight tracks, it's not only about where the pigeon flew — it's also about seeing what happened along the way.

In Ove's real flight reports, he observed:

✔ Wind and terrain may affect the flight path
Side winds, forests, hills, water, and city areas can all influence how pigeons adjust their route.

✔ Two sharp dives near water
The GPS track showed two sudden drops from around 280 meters, with speed reaching nearly 150 km/h.
Based on the flight pattern, Ove suggested the pigeon may have been reacting to a bird of prey.

✔ A sudden turn-back near an airfield
In a 480km race, the pigeon flew past a small airfield west of Hamburg, and a small aircraft was taking off or landing at that exact moment.
The startled bird turned back and rested nearby for about 25 minutes.
It resumed flying at a noticeably slower speed afterward — the whole event may have cost it at least 35 minutes.

✔ Route changes, slowdowns, and unusual flight behavior
Details like turning back, slowing down, or pausing mid-flight are hard to notice from return time alone.
