Within the biodiverse and productive organisms of the rough leather coral are many microorganisms which provide benefits to the coral host. The microorganisms living on S. glaucum protect the host against pathogens, while also possibly supplying nutrients to the host.

Just so beautiful how the nudibranchs lay their eggs in gelatinous, spiral ribbons! A single mass can contain thousands to over a million microscopic eggs. The eggs typically hatch in about 10 to 14 days into microscopic, free-floating larvae called veligers. Eventually, they settle, lose their larval shell, and transform into adult sea slugs.

Surrounded by damselfish, so much life! Their diets include small crustaceans, plankton, and algae. The threespot damselfish is very defensive of its territory and is a classic example of extreme territoriality.

Rabbit Nudis are so cute! 🥰
Aka sea bunnies, they feed on sea sponges, they process the toxins and store them as a defense mechanism. Often see these guys in the south on Lambai Island, Taiwan.
