The Tanzania Cricket Association is delighted to welcome the Singapore national cricket team to Dar es Salaam ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League B, taking place from 8–18 August 2026.

As Tanzania hosts this prestigious ICC tournament for the first time, we wish Team Singapore a successful campaign and an enjoyable stay in our beautiful country.

MATCH RESULT

Uganda secured a 113-run victory over Hong Kong, China in Match Day 4 of TCA ODI 2026.

Uganda posted 213 runs in 48.2 overs, before restricting Hong Kong, China to 100 runs in 31.3 overs to complete a commanding win.

The Tanzania Cricket Association extends its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Habib Amoto Enesi and the entire Enesi family following the tragic passing of his beloved wife, Mrs. Medinat Enesi.

On behalf of the Tanzania cricket fraternity, we share in your sorrow during this difficult time. We hope you find strength in the love and support of family, friends, and the wider cricket community.

May the Almighty grant comfort to all who mourn, and may the soul of Mrs. Medinat Enesi rest in eternal peace.

INNINGS BREAK

Uganda posted 213 runs in 48.2 overs, setting Hong Kong, China a target of 214 runs from 300 balls at a required run rate of 4.28 runs per over.

Hong Kong, China will now begin the chase in Match Day 4 of TCA ODI 2026.

Over the past three days, 108 teachers from various regions across Tanzania participated in an intensive coach education programme.

Led by Mr. Abhishek Shekhawat, Manager, Participation Programs, International Cricket Council (ICC), the course equipped participants with the knowledge and practical skills to deliver structured cricket coaching in their respective schools. On the final day, participants also attended a Basic Umpiring Seminar, conducted by Adil Kassam, providing an introduction to the Laws of Cricket and the role of match officials.

The subsequent practical and written saw a record number of 99 out of the 108 participants certifying as ICC level 1 coaches. This is a defining moment for Tanzania Cricket as these sports teachers will impart quality coaching to the students countrywide.

The Tanzania Cricket Association congratulates all the successful participants on this outstanding achievement and extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Abhishek Shekhawat for his dedication, expertise, and commitment to developing cricket in Tanzania. Initiatives such as these continue to strengthen the foundation of the game and inspire the next generation of players and coaches.

Hongera kwa walimu 99 waliofanikiwa kufuzu na kuthibitishwa kuwa Makocha wa ICC Level 1 baada ya mafunzo ya siku tatu. Mafanikio haya ni hatua muhimu kwa maendeleo ya kriketi nchini Tanzania, kwani walimu hawa wataenda kueneza na kutoa mafunzo bora ya mchezo kwa wanafunzi katika shule mbalimbali nchini. TCA pia inatoa shukrani za dhati kwa Bw. Abhishek Shekhawat kwa uongozi wake, utaalamu wake, na mchango wake mkubwa katika kuimarisha maendeleo ya kriketi Tanzania.

Uganda have won the toss and elected to bat first against Hong Kong, China at the Annadil Burhani Cricket Ground.

Both teams will be looking to make a strong start and build momentum as Match Day 4 gets underway.

MATCH RESULT

Italy secured a 107-run victory over Tanzania A in the one-off 40-over match at the Annadil Burhani Cricket Ground.

Italy posted 263/7 in 39.1 overs, before Tanzania A finished on 156 in 38 overs. A bright performance for Tanzania A came from Arshaan Jasani, who top scored with a fighting 82 off 97 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes.

A valuable outing for the squad, with important lessons taken forward. Tunaendelea kujifunza, kujipanga na kuimarika kwa michezo ijayo.
