It's great honor to receive appointment from Tanzania Volleyball Association as National teams Head coach ahead of African Nations cup for Women in Cameroon and Men in Egypt. I thank the Association for entrusting me and I pray for God to lead me the way in this great job and thus I and the technical bench will cooperatively work well to ensure the Flag of our lovely country is well represented. May God help us.

CAVB and Tanzania Volleyball Federation mourns President John Magufuli
Tanzania, March 20, 2021- Tanzania Volleyball Federation send sincere condolences on behalf of the volleyball Family in the country in mourning the loss of their late, his excellency President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli who passed away this week.
African Volleyball Confederation “CAVB” in turn mourns the big loss of one of the African pillars and asked God to rest his soul in Peace

Tanzania has completed a National Level I volleyball coaching course at Mtwara Teachers College.
Tanzania volleyball association TAVA, in its framework of development programs has completed a national level I coaching course on November 18th, 2020 at Mtwara teachers college. The eight days (8) course which started November 11th, 2020, has attracted 48 participants who are Physical Education students. The course which was instructed by Alfred SELENGIA included 29 men and 19 women.
This is the continuation of such projects in the country of ensuring key and potential people are met and imparted the right coaching skills as per CAVB and FIVB curriculums. The course followed the previous one which was held at University of Dar es salaam in September which had 42 participants who were also physical education students.
The main aim is to ensure these PE students becomes great Volleyball coaches for beginners as majority are primary and secondary school sports teachers from all corners of Tanzania.
This kind of projects which are in our strategic plan has up to date initiated more than 35 youth centers in the country with beloved volunteer coaches.
TAVA President Mr. Patrick Mlowezi thanked FIVB and CAVB for the support of materials – ‘Volleyballs’ which are used effectively to spread and develop volleyball in our Nation.
TAVA has supported balls to the college in favor of volleyball sport education programs. On behalf of the College, the Principal had congratulated TAVA for great initiatives to develop the sport in the Country. He thanked for the material support and ensures that they are of great need at the college.
On the participants’ speech, they promised to work hard by imparting the right knowledge to the younger generations in schools.
