In this co-creation with second-year students from Muda Africa, we explore how the systems that shape our world, economic, political and social, influence the way we move, think and exist.

Through dance, each performer reflects on their own relationship to these structures, questioning control and constraint. What happens when we step beyond them? What does it feel like to move freely, outside of imposed boundaries?

Beyond Systems is an invitation to imagine and embody a space where freedom begins.

MIMI NA NAFSI YANGU explores the tension between the Ego and the Soul. The Ego is shaped by fear, survival, and separation, while the Soul carries love, truth, and unity.

Their struggle reflects how we slowly lose touch with our deeper nature. When the Ego begins to listen and the Soul takes the lead, balance returns and awareness expands.

This work is an invitation to remember that wholeness is not something we find outside, but something we awaken within. ✨

A Contemporary Dance Exploration

A powerful performance on love, resilience, and equality.
Through movement, spoken word, and physical dialogue, Nipaeli Mtana and Ulonzi Rajabu question how society perceives love, especially for bodies often excluded from desire and choice.The piece challenges norms and invites reflection.

Join Zungu for a Tanzanian Contemporary dance workshop exploring Mdundiko rhythms fused with contemporary movement.

Dancers will explore rhythm, grounding and Improvise, and learn a short movement phrase inspired by Mdundiko. This is a space to experiment, connect with your body, and expand your movement.
