On 12 August 2026, a transnational meeting of partners entitled “Transnational Project Meeting in Moldova within the framework of International Youth Day” took place in the Republic of Moldova within the framework of the project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level” (DP5YOU), co-funded by the European Union.

The event was held in the context of International Youth Day and combined project coordination, the exchange of experience, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of the DP5YOU project’s results.

The event was organised by the National Agency for Programs Development and Youth Work (Chisinau, Moldova). The meeting brought together representatives of the project’s partner organisations:

the NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” (Ukraine);
ASSOCIACAO CHECK-IN – COOPERACAO E DESENVOLVIMENTO (Portugal);
the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (Ukraine);
INSTITUTUL DE INSTRUIRE IN DEZVOLTARE MILLENIUM (Republic of Moldova).

During a working visit to the office of the National Youth Agency in Chisinau, the partners learned about the main areas of youth policy in the Republic of Moldova, national youth programmes, and the activities of youth centres, non-governmental organisations, and other youth-sector structures. Particular attention was paid to the importance of international partnerships, the exchange of experience, and the dissemination of successful practices within the implementation of the DP5YOU project.

The next part of the programme was a working visit to Bălți – Youth Capital of the Republic of Moldova 2026. An information meeting was held at Bălți City Hall with the participation of the municipal leadership, representatives of central and local public authorities, international and non-governmental organisations, project partners, and members of the Ukrainian community from the northern regions of Moldova.

During the meeting, participants discussed programmes and opportunities available at the local, national, and international levels, as well as mechanisms for supporting and integrating Ukrainians in the Republic of Moldova. Representatives of the Ukrainian partner organisations presented the DP5YOU learning platform and introduced participants to the policies of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine concerning the support and integration of Ukrainian refugees.

Young Ukrainians shared their experiences of learning, participating in community life, and integrating into local communities. They highlighted the importance of non-formal education, meaningful leisure activities, and initiatives organised by youth centres in Bălți with the support of central and local public authorities. Participants also emphasised the need to expand such opportunities, involve more non-governmental organisations, and strengthen donor support for youth initiatives.

The information meeting brought together more than 50 participants, including 23 representatives of the Ukrainian community, as well as representatives of donor organisations, central and local public authorities, and project partner organisations. The participants also visited the CRAT Youth Centre, where they learned about the conditions created for youth work and the practical implementation of DP5YOU activities at the local level.

An important component of the “Transnational Project Meeting in Moldova within the framework of International Youth Day” was the presentation of the DP5YOU project during activities dedicated to International Youth Day. Approximately 60 representatives of the youth community participated, together with representatives of non-governmental and donor organisations, central and local public authorities, and project partners.

During the coordination part of the meeting, the partners reviewed the activities implemented and the results achieved, exchanged experiences, agreed on further tasks, and identified priorities for the final stage of the project, including the preparation of the final international conference and final reporting.

The transnational meeting contributed to strengthening cooperation among DP5YOU partners, public authorities, youth centres, non-governmental organisations, and the Ukrainian community in the Republic of Moldova. Its outcomes will provide an important foundation for the successful completion of the project, the sustainability of its results, and the continued use of the DP5YOU digital platform in work with young people, displaced children, and refugees.

On 11 August 2026, a transnational meeting of partners in the project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level” (DP5YOU), co-funded by the European Union, took place in Chișinău (Republic of Moldova). The event was held as part of the celebrations for International Youth Day.

The event was organised by the INSTITUTUL DE INSTRUIRE IN DEZVOLTARE MILLENIUM (Republic of Moldova). Representatives of the project’s partner organisations took part in the meeting:

The programme of the event consisted of two main parts: a coordination meeting of the project partners and an information and discussion session with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Moldova, in particular young Ukrainian refugees.

During the coordination meeting, the partners presented the results of the work carried out within the five work packages of the project and analysed the progress of the planned activities and the preparation of the relevant outputs. Particular attention was paid to promoting the learning opportunities offered by the DP5YOU digital platform amongst young people and youth workers.

Participants also discussed the communication and promotion of the project’s results, preparations for the final international conference, the completion of ongoing tasks, the evaluation of results and the drafting of the final report. The coordination meeting brought together 11 representatives from all the project’s partner organisations.

The second half of the day featured an information and discussion session with young Ukrainian refugees and representatives of the Ukrainian community in the Republic of Moldova. Participants exchanged information on available programmes, educational opportunities, support mechanisms and prospects for cooperation.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community shared their own experiences of learning, participating in youth initiatives and integrating into Moldovan society. During the discussion, the importance of further developing non-formal education, meaningful leisure activities, distance learning and expanding opportunities for young Ukrainians to participate in community life was emphasised. Eleven representatives of the Ukrainian community in Moldova, as well as partners of the DP5YOU project, took part in the session.

The event helped to strengthen coordination between partners, facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices, and foster cooperation between young people, civil society organisations and public authorities. Direct dialogue with the Ukrainian community made it possible to better take into account the current needs and experiences of young Ukrainian refugees.

The outcomes of the meeting will form an important basis for the successful completion of the project’s next stages, the organisation of the final international conference, and the continued use of the DP5YOU materials and digital tools developed once the project has concluded.

18–19 September 2026 will see an international conference held in a hybrid format, offering the option of in-person and online participation.

The conference is organised within the project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level” (DP5YOU), co-funded by the European Union. Its purpose is to bring together researchers, educators, young people, youth workers, representatives of educational institutions and civil society organisations, as well as everyone working with migrant and refugee children.

The conference will focus on European approaches and modern methodologies for working with migrant and refugee children. Particular attention will be given to the use of digital technologies, practices of social integration and adaptation, psychosocial support for children, and the development of knowledge and practical skills among young people and youth workers.

The conference programme will include plenary and parallel sessions featuring presentations by leading researchers and representatives of public authorities, educational institutions and civil society organisations working in the field of youth policy. Participants will have an opportunity to present the results of their research and practical activities, discuss current challenges and exchange European best practices.

DP5YOU sports and recreational events in Ukraine, Moldova and Portugal Young people applied knowledge by organizing inclusive sports activities for vulnerable groups across three European countries.

On 31 July 2026, an online working meeting was held for the coordinators of the partner organisations involved in the international project “Digital Platform for Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Displaced Children and Refugees at the European Level” (DP5YOU), which is co-funded by the European Union.

Representatives from all the project’s partner organisations took part in the meeting. The main objectives were to discuss the current status of the DP5YOU implementation, analyse the tasks completed, coordinate the partners’ work and determine the next steps in line with the project implementation plan.

Primary attention was paid to the operational status of the DP5YOU digital platform and the participation of target groups in the training. The project coordinator presented up-to-date information on user registration, completion of training materials and the overall activity of participants on the platform. Participation figures were analysed separately for each partner country, which made it possible to assess the current dynamics of the learning process and determine further steps to engage participants in the educational opportunities offered by the digital platform.

The second key item on the agenda was work on Deliverable D4.3 – “E-Booklet on Sports Events Preparation and Organisation”. The partners discussed the current status of the e-booklet’s preparation, its structure, content and practical focus. Particular attention was paid to harmonising the materials and the next stages of work on this project deliverable.

The next part of the meeting focused on preparations for the project events in the Republic of Moldova, scheduled for 11–12 August 2026. Participants reviewed the Information Pack and the programme of upcoming activities, discussed organisational matters, the format of the events, participant recruitment and coordination between partner organisations.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for the final international conference “European Experience for Working with Migrant and Refugee Children in the EU, Ukraine, and Moldova”, which will take place on 18–19 September 2026 in Bukovel, Ukraine, in a hybrid format. The project coordinator briefed the partners on the conference concept, its main thematic areas, organisational aspects, participation format and the next stages of preparation. The conference will be a key component in summarising the project’s implementation, presenting its results and exchanging European experience of working with migrant, refugee and displaced children.

The working meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and provided an opportunity for all partners to analyse the current status of the project’s implementation, agree on the delivery of key results and coordinate activities during the final phase of DP5YOU.

Within the framework of the international project DP5YOU — Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level, co-funded by the European Union, participants have a unique opportunity to improve their professional skills in working with displaced children, refugee children, and young people in Ukraine, Moldova, and the countries of the European Union.

The learning platform contains educational and methodological materials aimed at developing knowledge and practical skills in the field of youth work, support for children and young people, social integration, psychological support, digital communication, and European approaches to working with vulnerable groups.

After completing all training topics, participants are required to complete the final survey. This is an important step to confirm participation in the training and to receive a Youthpass certificate.

On June 17, 2026, an online working meeting was held between the coordinator and the team of the international project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level” (DP5YOU), which is co-funded by the European Union 🇪🇺

All project partners participated in the meeting: the project coordinator – the non-governmental organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” (Ukraine), ASSOCIACAO CHECK-IN – COOPERACAO E DESENVOLVIMENTO (Portugal), INSTITUTUL DE INSTRUIRE IN DEZVOLTARE MILLENIUM “MilleniuM” (Moldova), the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (Ukraine), as well as the National Agency for Programs Development and Youth Work (Moldova).

The meeting took place online, which allowed all project partners to join the discussion, present current results, and agree on further joint actions.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current status of the project’s implementation, agreed on the next steps, and coordinated future joint activities among the partners. Special attention was given to the process of registering participants on the DP5YOU digital platform, its functional capabilities, structure, access to training materials, and the number of registered users.

The project coordinator presented the current progress of the digital platform, emphasizing its importance as a tool for developing the knowledge, skills, and competencies of youth working with internally displaced children and refugees. It was emphasized that the DP5YOU platform creates new opportunities for learning, exchanging experiences, professional development, and capacity building for youth workers at the European level.

An important item on the agenda was the discussion of section 4.3 “E-Booklet on Sports Events Preparation and Organization”. Project partners from the organization “MilleniuM” presented their vision for the structure and content of the e-booklet and outlined approaches to preparing and organizing sports events that will be implemented in the project’s participating countries.

Separately, meeting participants discussed preparations for the upcoming event in the Republic of Moldova. The partners reviewed organizational issues, the event program, participation formats, key content areas, and next steps to ensure its successful implementation. They emphasized the importance of this event for strengthening partnership collaboration, the practical implementation of project outcomes, and the dissemination of best practices in working with youth, internally displaced children, and refugees.

The online working meeting served as an important step in coordinating the joint activities of the DP5YOU partners, helping to align key objectives, strengthen teamwork, and ensure the effective implementation of the project’s next phases.

The DP5YOU project continues to create opportunities for youth development, strengthen international cooperation, and implement innovative digital tools to support internally displaced children and refugees at the European level.
