Treat yo’ self! Do you get a fancy-schmancy spa manicure or a pedicure?

Well, in the dream scenario, if I were really treating myself, I’d get both done, hahaha! And I’d be in a robe, and Keanu Reeves would be feeding me warm chocolate chip cookies…but if I had to pick just one, I’d go with pedicure, since it would last longer.

Short or long fingernails?

Short please! I cannot deal with the sound (or the feel) of my fingertips clack-clack-clacking on a keyboard.

Instagram Introduced Vanishing DMs, In Case You’re Tryna Cheat 15/10/2020

Today in Things We Didn’t Need But I’m Admittedly Curious About: Instagram’s Vanish Mode. This brand-new feature is…sketchy, to say the least, but kind of cool at the same time. You know how you always go to Snapchat to send a risky photo or chat message, knowing that it’ll disappear and you won’t have to spend the next month looking at it and sweating? Apparently, that can now go down in the DMs instead.

Forgive me for going into Mom Mode, but a quick reminder that just because your messages ~disappear~, doesn’t mean they’re really gone. Everything you put online eXiStS fOrEvEr, so I suggest never sending anything you wouldn’t be comfortable with your grandma seeing. OK, lecture over—let’s talk about Instagram Vanish Mode. After teasing a disappearing text feature earlier this year, Vanish Mode is officially a go, and users can enter into it and send messages that leave absolutely no traces behind.

What does this mean exactly? You can send text, photo and even video messages, and p**f! They’ll be gone before you know it. Once the message disappears, it’s like it was never there, with no reference to any vanished message left behind. So long as you and the person you’re messaging have both updated your Instagram apps—not everyone has the feature just yet, so be patient and keep trying—all you’ve got to do is swipe up on your chat to activate Vanish Mode.

Once you’ve swipe up, your screen goes black, and you’ll be notified that you’ve entered Vanish Mode. From there, all messages you send will disappear until you either exit the DMs or quit Vanish Mode. Prior to sending, you’ll be able to select a variety of viewing options, including View Once, Allow Replay or Keep in Chat.

TBH, I can’t help but wonder if there’s some tech wizard at Instagram who designed this feature himself just so that he could be sketchy. I ask you: who at Instagram is tryna cheat on their partner?! Personally, I’ll be sticking to Snapchat for all my risky messaging, but if you’re more of a DM person, there’s never been a better time to shoot your ~vanishing~ shot.

Instagram Introduced Vanishing DMs, In Case You’re Tryna Cheat Seriously though, who is this feature for?

I’m Casting My Vote For Lizzo As Best-Dressed At The BBMAs 15/10/2020

Though award shows have looked drastically different this year—including few in-person moments and far more virtual ones—we’ve still been blessed with plenty of jaw-dropping celebrity ensembles. Not every star has chosen to wear red carpet-ready outfits (some opting for casual at-home vibes instead), but those who do dress to the nines for this year’s award shows have been seriously slaying. Case in point: Lizzo’s 2020 Billboard Music Awards look.

Dressed in custom Christian Siriano (because ofcourse), Lizzo accepted the award for Top Song Sales Artist at the BBMAs. And while I’m high-key excited Lizzo now has another award to add to the shelf in her house—featured in her “73 Questions with Vogue†video, in case you haven’t seen it yet—the best part about the singer’s BBMA acceptance was her ensemble. The custom Siriano look was an absolutely major statement in the most literal sense. A black one-sleeve mini dress emblazoned with the word “VOTE†over and over? Talk about a culturally relevant style moment!

I don’t know about you, but I’m suddenly inspired to wear voting looks and voting looks only. Most of us don’t have Christian Siriano on speed dial, but there are still plenty of seriously cute voting merch options available right now. Even if you can’t wear a Siriano original (my dream!!), you can still rock outfits that spread the message. Maybe someone will make a t-shirt featuring a photo of Lizzo wearing this ensemble, too. A meta moment I’d definitely be there for.

AP Photo/Chris Pizzello.

Lizzo kept the rest of the ensemble simple (considering nothing could make a more impactful statement than the ‘VOTE’ dress itself) with silver diamond earrings, a chainlink bracelet and a stunning ring, along with black strappy heels. Hair pulled up in the perfect ponytail—thanks to celebrity hairstylist Shelby Swain and her army of GHD hot tools (!)—Lizzo looked as gorgeous as ever.

Source: Instagram

Perhaps the most-missed aspect of her BBMAs look, though, was Lizzo’s incredible nail art. Nail artist Eri Ishizu created the ultimate manicure for the singer—and quite frankly, I’m about to recreate it at home. She matched Lizzo’s nails to her dress exactly, writing “VOTE†on each ring fingernail. I’ll probably end up with a smudge of white nail polish when I attempt to DIY the mani, but Ishizu’s ex*****on was flawless.

Source: Instagram

Of course, Lizzo didn’t use only her ensemble and nail art to make a statement. During her acceptance speech, the singer mentioned she’d been thinking about suppression—wondering if she’d be where she was if it weren’t for all the big, Black women who refused to be suppressed. She continued on, encouraging everyone at home to remain true to who they are. “There’s power in who you are,†she says. “There’s power in your voice. So whether it’s through music, protest or your right to vote, use your power, use your voice and refuse to be suppressed.â€

Lizzo didn’t do a mic drop, but this speech definitely deserved one. If you didn’t already stan the singer before, it’s never too late to jump aboard this train!

I’m Casting My Vote For Lizzo As Best-Dressed At The BBMAs And, quite frankly, best acceptance speech.

John Cena Just Secretly Married His Girlfriend After a Year of Dating—Here’s What to Know About Her 15/10/2020

After his secret wedding, fans may be curious to know who is John Cena’s wife, Shay Shariatzadeh. So let us explain what we know about their relationship.

According to a marriage certificate obtained by People, Cena and Shariatzadeh married in a secret ceremony at an attorney’s office in Tampa, Florida, on Monday, October 12. The couple obtained their marriage license a few days earlier on Friday, October 9. A day after his wedding, Cena tweeted about “happiness.” “’I will be happy if I only get (x).’ This is a great way to mold an entire life spent chasing happiness and never finding joy,” he wrote.

Days before his wedding, he also tweeted about “love” and how it’s a “constant effort.” “Love involves constant effort. When you are truly ready to let love in and give to love all it needs to flourish, I feel there is no greater more rewarding connection,” he wrote. Wise words from the professional wrestler!

Cena and Shariatzadeh’s wedding also comes less than a year after they sparked engagement rumors in February when the couple was photographed at an amusement park in San Diego, where the professional wrestler’s now-wife was seen with a ring on her left hand. “[They were] giggling and looked over all happy together,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “I noticed a huge ring on her left hand ring finger. It looked pretty big,” the source added.Though Cena never confirmed the rumors, he hinted at them in a tweet about marriage at the time. “‘A happy marriage is a long conversation that always seems too short’ – Andre Maurois,” he wrote.

Before she married Cena, Shariatzadeh was a product manaer at Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions Company in Vancouver, Canada, where she lives. “I interviewed multiple Product Managers to figure out how they got into their role, and I followed their path,” she said in a profile on Avigilon‘s website. “Today, I take pride working in the video surveillance industry because our products help keep people and their assets safe, and that’s my little contribution to our world.”

She’s also super smart. Shariatzadeh studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of British Columbia, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2013. “I have always enjoyed math and physics,” she also said on Avigilon’s site. “My brother studied engineering in school, and I remember one day he came home with a project and it was an autonomous car — and that was it! I decided to study Engineering.”

How did John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh meet?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019, Cena revealed that he met Shariatzadeh on the set of his film, Playing With Fire. “It’s a wonderful day for a movie premiere and I got a beautiful date,” Cena said, revealing that he met his now-wife while filming Playing With Fire. “What’s truly special about this one is that, no matter what projects I’m involved in in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special.”

Cena’s co-star, Keegan-Michael Key, explained that the wrestler met Shariatzadeh at a restaurant after noticing a “group of young ladies.” Key recalled Cena telling him, “There was one woman I was looking at and I couldn’t take my eyes off her…That’s when it started.”

Cena and Shariatzadeh were first photographed holding hands in March 2019 in Vancouver, where Playing With Fire was filmed. They were also spotted having a four-hour dinner around the time.

Here’s Who’s Still Together From Every Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ 15/10/2020

Since The Bachelorette premiered over a decade ago, there have been more than a dozen women who looked for love on the show. But “Who’s still together from The Bachelorette?” is the real question.

The Bachelorette premiered in January 2003 with Trista Rehn as Bachelor Nation’s first-ever female lead. Trista was the runner-up on season 1 of The Bachelor with Alex Michel. And it’s a good thing that Alex didn’t pick her, as Trista (and her husband Ryan) became one of the most successful couples from the franchise. Not only are they married (the two tied the knot in Bachelor Nation’s first-ever televised wedding, we might add), but Trista and Ryan also share two beautiful children.

Since the first season of The Bachelorette, there have been many women who have given out roses on the show. While some have been success stories (such as season 13’s Rachel Lindsay and season 9’s Desiree Hartsock), there have been many Bachelorettes whose relationships just didn’t work out. (Season 15’s Hannah Brown ended her engagement to her winner, Jed Wyatt, before her finale even aired. Ouch.)

Ahead, we looked back at every couple and winner from The Bachelorette to see where they are now. Find out who’s still together.

20 Easy Home Decor Ideas To Make Your Space Feel New Again 14/10/2020

At its core, home decor should be a reflection ofyou—which is why having a go-to list of home decor ideas can be helpful for those always itching to redecorate. Sometimes, figuring out exactly how to spruce up your space—no matter if your budget is big or small—can be overwhelming. There are so many elements to decorating and so many different rooms to style. Even if you live in a small apartment and not a massive house, you likely still have a bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom. That means, that some of the smallest homes still have a lot of space to decorate. And while ultimately the choice on how to style your home is yours, home decor ideas can help get the ball rolling.

Whether you have a large home or small, a lot of money to spend or none or just have one, singular room you want to redecorate, there are so many easy ways to change up your space. For those who just want a few changes that make things feel newer, try adding throw pillows to the furniture you already have or putting some mirrors on the walls to increase the light and create the illusion of more space. Or, if you’re ready to update a few larger pieces, try investing in a furniture focal point and then updating the rest of the room with smaller, more affordable objects.

Taking the time to sit down and figure out exactly what you want your home to look like (or, at the very least, a pretty clear idea) is the first step. After that, peruse these home decor ideas to figure out how, exactly, to make your dream home become a reality. Going into any home project without some semblance of a plan is never going to work—no matter how many genius home decor ideas you read. The effort you make at the beginning will save you more time than you can imagine when it actually comes to implementing your decor style.

If you’re ready to dig in and redecorate your home, though, keep reading to discover 20 easy home decor ideas that will make your space feel new again. Don’t be afraid to try something bold or out of your comfort zone, too. It might just be the design element that ends up being your absolute favorite.

1. Use Throw Pillows To Spice Up Your Seating

Adobe.

Never underestimate the power of a good throw pillow. Even if you don’t want to change up your furniture pieces (or, quite frankly, can’t afford to), adding some cute throw pillows into the mix can instantly give any room an easy refresh. Try playing with different colors and patterns—and don’t be afraid to go for a bold pillow.

2. Turn Your Bar Cart Into A Conversation Piece

There are endless ways to decorate your bar cart, but it’s such a simple way to add to your home decor. You can use it to store your chicest glassware, add some bright flowers for a pop of color or even add small decorative objects along with your liquor and wine bottles. Just opt for a look that suits your personal style, and you’re golden.

3. Create An Accent Wall

If you’re not quite a maximalist, but you don’t want every single wall in your home to be covered in wallpaper or art, try creating an accent wall. A great (and easy) way to do this is to use a collage wall art kit. Artists, photographers and the like curate a selection of photos that you can then arrange on your wall however you’d like!

4. Invest In One Furniture Focal Point

For those who want to add an entirely new focal point to their home, but can’t afford (or don’t want to) completely redecorate, try investing in one piece of furniture you really love. This could be a stunning couch you’ve seen on Instagram, a maximalist armchair or even the kitchen table of your dreams. You can then spruce up the rest of your home with smaller, more affordable pieces.

5. Try Out A New Wallpaper (Or Removable Wallpaper)

Adobe.

Whether you want to create an accent wall or completely change the feel of your home, you can’t go wrong with wallpaper—both removable and permanent. If you know exactly what you want (and don’t think you’ll change your mind), go for a permanent wallpaper in a classic pattern. For those who like trendier options, though, you might want to opt for peel-and-stick wallpapers at first.

6. Use Storage Pieces That Double As Decor

Everyone has items they need to store to keep off of countertops and the floor—but instead of using plastic bins, try storage that’s both functional and stylish. Rope baskets, cute bins and even ottomans that feature extra storage are all wonderful options for keeping things tidy and aesthetic at the same time. It might just be one of the most essential home decor ideas out there.

7. Add Mirrors To The Walls

It’s no secret that the addition of mirrors in a home creates more light and the illusion of space. If you’re thinking about creating a gallery wall in your home, try adding a few small mirrors in addition to the art prints or photographs. Alternatively, add a couple wall mirrors above your couch to let more light into your living space.

8. Place Plants (Or Faux Plants) Around Your Home

There’s nothing like a little greenery to brighten a space. If you can take care of a few plants, add them around your home for an overall boho and refreshing vibe. For those who don’t have a green thumb, you can get the same effect with faux plants—just don’t accidentally water them!

9. Brighten Things Up With Wall Art

If your walls are feeling majorly drab, add some bright art prints to liven things up a bit. Especially if you live in a location where the winters are long and cold, you’ll be grateful to have some colorful and warm colors inside. Try mixing and matching different prints on a gallery wall, or just hang a large piece in a space you occupy the most.

10. Opt For Floating Shelves

Adobe.

While all shelves are generally helpful, floating shelves are one of the easiest home decor ideas that create more space on your walls—and serve as easy ways to display your favorite books, plants and decorative objects. Because this style of shelf is so versatile, you can use it to fill in gaps on your walls, or create an art and books gallery wall.

11. Spruce Up Your Bathroom With A Luxe Shower Curtain

Your bathroom should be an oasis—full stop. If yours doesn’t quite feel like one, try adding a cute shower curtain that brightens you day whenever you step into the bathroom. For those who might be completely redecorating their bathrooms, choose a shower curtain first, and then let it inspire how you finish the rest of your decor.

12. Use Throw Blankets As A Decor Piece

Something cozy that also serves as a decor piece? Yes, please. Throw blankets are great for cuddling up in when it’s chilly, but they can also work as home decor. Find a blanket that works with the colors and aesthetic of your home—and that you also want to snuggle up in—for the ultimate cozy decor.

13. Add Some Coffee Table Books To Your Living Spaces

When form meets function, you get coffee table books. Not only are they usually filled with gorgeous photos or interesting stories, but coffee table books serve as gorgeous decor options, too. Place them on your coffee table (of course) or add them to a bookshelf or dresser to serve as decorative objects.

14. Invest In Kitchen Accessories That Look Cute On The Counter

If your kitchen is feeling a bit blah or even cluttered, re-think how you have it set up. Store everything that isn’t necessary to have on the counters, and then invest in kitchen accessories that actually look cute when they’re set out on surfaces. This could mean anything from a colorful Kitchen-Aid mixer to cake stands that bring you joy.

15. Create Warmth With A Chic Rug

Adobe.

When your floors are all hardwood, laminate or even concrete, it can make a space feel less warm. Adding a chic rug, though, can add the coziness your home is missing. Make sure to measure your space and plan out where you want to place a rug before you purchase one! Forethought will go a long way with this home decor idea.

16. Keep Your Bookshelves Organized & Aesthetic

Use cute decorative objects (like miniature busts, plants or candles) on your bookshelves to make them absolutely gorgeous. Some people also prefer to organize their books by color or keep them separated by different decor options—that way, the shelves become little conversation pieces rather than a mass of books.

17. Turn Your Garment Rack Into A Home Decor Moment

If you store some of your clothes on a garment rack (for easy access or due to a small closet), try turning it into a home decor moment. Organize your clothes by length, style and color, hang shelves above the rack to create a closet wall or add some cute accessories to the furniture piece as well. These garment rack ideas can help reduce a cluttered feeling in a small space!

18. Create The Illusion Of More Space

If you live in a small home, there are plenty of ways to create the illusion of space. You can add art higher up on the ceiling, invest in a floor mirror for your bedroom or living area or make sure your storage game is on-point (keeping as much off the floor as possible).
