“In reality, Troyanovsky didn’t get old - he just chose a wrong tactic for the fight. He forgot he was 40, that he is an old, experienced wolf. He didn’t need to get into a fire fight with a young Valery Oganisyan. All he needed to do was to keep him at range, use the jab and throw uppercuts.

He decided to brawl, the fans were chanting his name and he decided to roll back the years but that went against him. Valery broke his nose in the third round. Eduard showed real character by going the distance.

Right now my objective is to have at least three fights this year and win my first title. However, my dream is to become a world champion.

“He was a very decorated amateur. He won gold at the Youth Commonwealth Games and bronze at the Commonwealth Games in 2018. He is a strong boxer but he got spoilt by favourable matchups. He knocked everyone out and when he got a step up, he got overconfident, didn’t prepare properly and lost the fight. Now he had a reality check.

I have a very good relationship with his family. We waited until his contract would expire and when it did - I signed him.

Our latest signing, (9-1-1, 4 KO), told us about his thoughts on signing with and his plans for the future. ⤵️

“I already worked with Al for a bit, he was my manager. Now I want to fight regularly and box in the US. I also wouldn’t mind having a fight in Belarus where Siesta Boxing puts on events.

I know that Al has good connections in Eastern Europe. All different types of combat sports are developing at a high level there.

My goal is to win a title in 2021. For example, IBF European or WBC International, hopefully we can achieve that with Al.

I would like to fight at least 4 times this year, if it’s possible due to the coronavirus.

My biggest dream in boxing is to become an undisputed champion of the world. After that I can start thinking about moving up in weight. I would love to fight Canelo, it would be a huge fight for me.

My role models in boxing are Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao is not only a great boxer but also a great person. I believe that he will become the president of the Philippines some day.”
