We have received information that some of the rocket modelers in different countries (Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine) are considering not participating in the 2022 European Space Modeling Championship, which is scheduled for Serbia. Most Latvian modelers also say no.
There are several reasons for this:
1. Already at the World Championships in Romania in 2021, competitors expressed their dissatisfaction with the costs set by the organizers of the competition. In Serbia this year, these costs have been set at an even higher level for both seniors and juniors.
2. The current political and economic situation in Europe due to the war against the State of Ukraine caused by the Russian Federation is also questionable.
(The influx of millions of Ukrainian civilian refugees in Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, rising fuel and other commodity prices, and threats by the President of the Russian Federation over the possible use of nuclear weapons by the Russian army.)
3. The uncertain situation in Serbia, at a time when the Serbian state has not clearly positioned its state position against the hostilities caused by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
We would also like to know your position on the above situation and possible action.

EESTI NOORTE RAKETIMEESKOND POOLAS EUROOPA MEISTRIKS !

20-25 augustini toimusid Poolas Wloclawekis Euroopa Meistrivõistlused Raketimudelismis. Eesti Noorte Meeskond kooseisus Rasmus Pall ,Merili Tursk ja Johanna Aaslepp saavutasid klassis S4A (raketoplaan) kuldmedali ja ühtlasi Euroopa Meistri tiitli.Meie taha jäid suurriigid Venemaa (2. koht) ja Poola (3.koht).Võistlejaid S4A klassis oli 34 ja riike 12 Suure panuse andis selleks Rasmus Palli individuaalne hõbemedal S4A klassis. Noored võistlesid veel S3A (langevari)klassis kus saavutati meeskondlikult 10.koht ,parim individuaalne 15.koht kuulub Mihkel Metsandile. Võistlejaid S3A klassis oli 37 Osa võeti ka S6A(lint) klassis kus saadi meeskondlikult 9. koht ,parim individuaalne 18.koht kuulub Johanna Aaslepale. Võistlejaid S6A klassis oli 36 Veel võislesid noored S9A (rootormudel)klassis kus saadi meeskondlikult 11. koht ,parim individuaalne 29.koht kuulub Mihkel Metsandile. Võistlejaid S9A klassis oli 36 Veel anti välja eriauhind-karikas noorimale võistlejale mille sai 9 aastane Sten Andri Laanejõe. Väga suure panuse andsid abilised Ene Nurmsalu,Aade Tšava,Jane Tšava,Andres Laanejõe,Kristjan Salumäe ja teised noored võistlejad kes sel päeval ei võistelnud ning aitasid mudeleid otsida ja stardipaika tuua 2018 aastal on samas kohas Maailmameistrivõistlused Raketimudelismis ja me juba valmistume selleks.
