SUPERSTITIONS IN SOCCER GAMES

In the early years of 2001-2004, every soccer game in Kiryandongo refugee settlement was treated like a must-win and goalkeepers and other players prepared for all this result using every possible means such as moving with pins which is put under the goalposts, Kicking the first ball out at the start of the match before the opposition touches it and practicing different superstitious actions during the game.
This was a time where lots of giants like Lions FC, Express FC, Simba FC, NgilaNgila, Red stars, Liberty Fc, Brazil, Arsenal and others were all competing for top honors in camp football

Goalkeepers like Opop of NgilaNgila were believed to this while in the current generation OP of Express is known for kicking out balls at the start of every match so us to chase away bad luck more especially if he is facing a team that he doesn't know or has never played against before.
