The Pearl of Africa Rally is a prestigious event that attracts drivers and fans from all over the country and beyond. It is the fourth round of the African Rally Championship (ARC) and also the National Rally Championship. It is organized by the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda and will take place from 5th to 7th May 2023, in parts of Jinja, Kakira, Source of the Nile, Bujagali and Kamuli road¹².

Some of the favorites for the rally are:

- **Karan Patel** and Tauseef Khan from Kenya, who are leading the ARC after winning the Equator Rally in March²⁴. They will be driving a Ford Fiesta.
- **Yasin Nasser** and Ali Katumba from Uganda, who are second in the ARC standings and have won the Pearl of Africa Rally twice before²⁴. They will be driving a Subaru GVB.
- **Jas Mangat** and Joseph Kamya from Uganda, who are third in the ARC standings and have also won the Pearl of Africa Rally twice before²⁴. They will be driving a Mitsubishi Evo X.
- **Rio Smith** and Riyaz Ismail from Kenya, who are competing in the Junior ARC category and are looking for their first win in Uganda³. They will be driving a Subaru GVB.

These are some of the drivers who will be vying for glory in the rally, but there are also many other talented and experienced crews who will be challenging them. It will be an exciting and thrilling event for sure! 🏁
