Times like this call for wisdom on our part as Christians. When the entire world anticipates for a time when everything else will get back to normal, we need to take time off now and reflect on a few things. For so long our lives have been full of so much activity, most of which does not really profit our spirits. We have been up and down, running errands and trying to work within our deadlines, we've been running to and from trying to make ends meet and investing time in our most treasured "friendships". However, the ultimate question is, when the world finally returns to normalcy, WHAT'S WORTH GOING BACK TO? What should we leave in the past? Who is worth / what friendships are worth keeping? What has been consuming our time so much that we never spent quality time with our Heavenly Father? What's worth or who's worth investing our time in? The list goes on and on. But in all, we need to set our priorities right if we are to live right with God.

Because He lives 👐

O death, where is thy sting!

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

One of the things that Christians in the church today are grappling with is not having the attitude and heart of service towards others. Paul was writing to those in Ephesus and he urges them to submit themselves one to another. Some people think the only person they are to submit to is their pastor or spiritual authority and not anybody else. Others think they owe their submission only to God and that is it. But Paul is raising a point here that is very pertinent and which the church today ought to consider, that is, submitting ourselves one to another. He goes on to say that as you do this, it is in the fear of God. You cannot claim to fear God when you don't submit to a brother or sister in church. God is love, and our submission toward one another is to be in love and as we continue to do this, strife will not be heard of amongst us because we will consider others above us.

As we start the new week, may this be our daily goal, to continually grow in the submission of ourselves towards one another.

Of all the things that you labor to invest in, invest more in the things of the Spirit! For the reward therein is eternal.

God has exalted his word above everything else! When all else fades away, his word is the surest thing that will Remain eternally. We know we can always trust his word!

My chains are gone

His mercy reigns

Amazing grace!

But we have this hope.....
