I am Derrick (Master Juanghun Lee’s manager).The three months I have worked with Master Juanghun Lee have been a learning experience. From the time we had the first interaction in Korea we shared the same vision for Uganda Taekwondo and we strive to achieve that daily. It looked impossible at the start but with time progress is being made. The goal is to make the taekwondo the number one sport in the country and it already looks like we are heading in the right direction.

As someone who has a passion for sport I believe partnerships with the right people with the right expertise and experience is one way of athletes achieving their dream and reaching their goal of competing at major tournaments and becoming Masters.

Master Juanghun Lee is here to develop Taekwondo and I am going to be part of his journey to see taekwondo develop in Uganda

I have been running in circle and begging around to get a gym for almost a year, and Finally, I got to have Kukkiwon Taekwondo Center in Nakawa.

Now, you can prepare for the trials to be part of the team coming on 25th April.

Hello everyone.
I am master JuangHun-LEE dispatched by Kukkiwon for Uganda.
I have been doing Taekwondo for 26years,
so Im getting 6th Dan this year.
And I was -63kg World Champion in 2011
Also, I was in national demonstration team
belonging to World Taekwondo(WT) in 2012
I have taught Taekwondo in more than 20 countries, and now, I want Uganda to be the last country.

I created this page for everyone in Uganda so that all you can see the information that I want to share which is related to Kukkiwon or Taekwondo.

I'd like to make Uganda Taekwondo the best in Africa and I will try my hardest to spread out Taekwondo in Uganda.

Ps. The page will be run and managed by me and my manager Derrick Ntege who completed his masters degree at Seoul National University

Saturday 25 April will be the day for the national team trials and Poom/Dan test. If you want to join the national team and upgrade your Dan, be there. This will be from 2pm
PS - You will be disqualified if you fail to keep time
