Universal Soccer Academy Background;
is a privately run non-profit

soccer academy organization/club formed by a group of youthful business and sports professionals whose mission is to facilitate development of youth talent with a keen eye on underserved, disadvantaged children and youths through soccer-related programs . Our goal is to use sports especially soccer to nurture sports talent but also instill discipline,life skills and use soccer as a platform to reach out the youths in Kampala’s slums and suburbs vis-à-vis dispensing health, nutrition, information exercise while we expose children and their families to positive life styles.

1. We encourage academic achievement and education opportunities i.e.; sponsorship for our student athletes.

2. Encourage prayer and counseling to problems of illiteracy school delinquency, adolescent issues, crime, drugs and obesity. Universal operates as a holiday program for school going athletes’ ages 6-19 years on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays but also operates during all weekends for non boarding athletes and the rest of the development side(20-25 years/open). Our program is provided at no charge but participants are selected based on their soccer abilities. We provide superior and pro-coaching due to having a well balanced coaching team with youthful and experienced coaches, our coaching Team is led by Uganda Soccer great/former Sc Villa coach Sula Kato to nurture talent on professionally. In addition to our own coaching staff, Universal invites active, well-known professional players to provide special clinics. Currently 95% of chidren and youth enrolled are from Kampala central's under-served communities of Kisenyi,Makerere Kivulu among others and soccer occupies an important component in the lives of Universal's targeted groups
