Liverpool entered the second leg of the Champions League semifinal facing an improbable 3-0 deficit. Bailly was recalled for his first appearance since March 6 in the Premier League draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford but required lengthy treatment following a 68th-minute challenge and was replaced by Marcos Rojo. Bailly, 24, has been beset by injuries during his United career and is unlikely to figure in the remaining fixtures against Huddersfield and Cardiff, having started just 14 club games all season.

Marcus Rashford also had to come off with a shoulder injury in the 65th minute. Rashford has scored three in his last 15 but Solskjaer did not say the 21-year-old was out for the remainder of the season.

The two goals scored by URA's Shafic kagimu ended the home unbeaten record of KCCA yesterday. Kagimu scored a penalty in the 25th minute giving URA an early lead. This then saw Timothy Awanyi's would be equaliser for KCCA around the 60th minute but Kagimu took to another penalty in the 80th minute which saw the game end in favour of URA.
