This Event is made special by the Call to Actions of , an Arabic statement that can loosely be translated as because we all know

The Dialogue will take place a week before the official launch of the 2020 campaign on 11th Nov 2020

As the world retreated inside homes due to the lockdown measures introduced to curb the COVID-19 pandemic, reports showed an alarming increase in the already existing pandemic of violence against women.

“Accompanying the crisis has been a spike in domestic violence reporting, at exactly the time that services, including rule of law, health and shelters, are being diverted to address the pandemic.

When a disaster hits or a conflict erupts, humanitarian actors move quickly to save lives, meet basic needs and protect survivors. In this rush to provide humanitarian response, the appeal to “pay attention to gender issues” often falls on deaf ears and may seem irrelevant.

Join us and our partners WestNile Humanitarian Platform, CEFORD, OXFAM in the forthcoming symposium, THE WOMEN FORUM DIALOGUE scheduled for 11th November 2020 at Rhino Camp Refuge settlement.
