Samitsi "City" is a locality in Kakamega County curved in between four forests namely Kakelelwa, Bunyala, Mlaba and Sh*tsukutsu.

Before football was magnified by 'A Boy From Samitsi', Bramwell Karamoja, through his initiative, Karamoja Supercup supported by Betika Company, Samitsi would pass as just another small, quiet village grid, only known to the locals. But that has since changed courtesy of football which has brought all corners of the world to this small green and dusty village market.

Transfoc FC and St Joseph's boys kitale forward Instine Simiyu was named the most valuable player in the just concluded Cleo Malala super cup 6th edition in Kakamega.
Instine walked away with ksh 50,000 cash money.
