Mandela National Stadium needs repair

Today I visited Mandela National Stadium in Nambole and I agree with FIFA that the stadium needs an upgrade. The Ministry of Sports is working towards improving the status quo of the National stadium.

Ocen Denis,Striker of patongo United fc suffered a broken leg when playing against Amuka Bright Stars fc.He and his family has gone through terrible situations.They have taken him to several hospitals but the leg is swelling & he needs to be taken to Kumi or Mulago for surgery.
It's a rare occurrence that needs our collective effort.

NRFA SUSPEND LEAGUES

Following the Earlier communication given by the NRFA Secretariat in regards to this weekend NRFA 3rd division and district leagues (4th and 5th ), I here by announce suspension of our leagues following receipt of the official communication from FUFA.

"FUFA also announces that during this 32 days period (till Sunday 19th April 2020) or as advised otherwise;

1. All FUFA authorised competitions will remain suspended suffice to say the Uganda Premier League (UPL) , the FUFA Big League (FBL), the FUFA Juniors League (FJL), the FUFA Regional League (FRL), the 4th Division League, the 5th Division League, the FUFA Women Super League (FWSL), the FUFA Women Elite League (FWEL), the FUFA Uganda Cup, the FUFA Women Cup and all FUFA authorised competitions.

2. The FUFA Secretariat henceforth be closed to the public but the FUFA Staff will be available by telephone and email.

3. Receipt of correspondence in hard copy form will be limited."

Uganda Vs South Sudan

Lango province's players Denis Timothy Awany and Allan Okello are among the 20 foreign based players summoned by the Uganda Cranes Coach Jonathan Mckinstry to start preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan.

Awany is currently playing for Ashdod FC in Israel and Allan Okello is playing for Paradou AC -Algeria .

Uganda will host South Sudan on Saturday 28th March 2020 in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Mandela National Stadium -Namboole at 4pm.
