We begin on Monday 1/11! We’ll have meditation most days at 6am, 8am and 4:30pm CST on Zoom. The challenge is 21 days of one hour meditation per day. You can do it and it will change you.

The world needs more yoga! Join us this fall for our first online YTT.

The training is a journey of personal change where you both expand your yoga and meditation practice and learn to share it.

The dates, days and times are as follows:
We meet Mondays & Wednesday 6-9pm and Saturday 8am-5pm.
There will also be 3 Sunday afternoons From 12-4:30pm on 10/4, 11/1 & 12/6.

We begin with Ashtanga vinyasa yoga as the foundation of your teaching skills, progress to teaching meditation and conclude with in depth time in learning to teach Hot Vinyasa.

Tuition is $2995 if paid in full. We also have early bird discount of $250 if paid in full by 8/31.

There are two payment plans available as well: 3 monthly payments of $1100 or 12 monthly payments of $300.

All payment options include unlimited access to Zoom classes and meditation until 12/31/20. Financial aid is available based on need.

Bandha Yoga - Scientific Keys to Unlock the Practice of Yoga

Plantar Fasciitis and Yoga
Plantar fasciitis is an overuse injury related to repetitive overstretching of the plantar aponeurosis. In this condition the forces of gait are concentrated where the plantar fascia attaches to the calcaneus, instead of being distributed over the fascia and the muscles at the back of the legs. This results in microtrauma to the plantar aponeurosis near its origin, causing inflammation and heel pain. Risk factors for developing plantar fasciitis include tight calf muscles and hamstrings, endurance-type weight bearing activity (such as running) and a high body mass index.
Image 2 is a reference MRI of this condition.
Since one of the most important aspects of managing this condition is stretching of the plantar fascia, heel cords (the gastrocnemius/soleus complex) and hamstrings, yoga offers an ancient preventative solution. For example, Downward Dog pose stretches both the hamstrings and heel cords.
Chaturanga dandasana stretches the plantar fascia itself. Use this image of chaturanga to aid in visualization while in the pose.
Note that there are other conditions that can cause heel pain. Accordingly, if you have heel pain be sure to consult a health care practitioner who is appropriately trained and qualified to diagnose and manage such conditions. Use your knowledge of pathological conditions to deepen your understanding of the body and to work with yoga as an adjunct in prevention and treatment.
