A lot of people deserve thanks for helping us get back out and race last weekend.
We had a few very long nights in the shop getting this machine put back together and race-ready after opening weekend. After a trip to the frame rack, straightening a bent rear end, and fixing plenty of other dings and dents, we made it back to Dakota State Fair Speedway on Saturday (5/16).
For the heat race, we requested to start in the back because I wanted to make sure the car handled properly after all the work that had been done. Thankfully, it did — and honestly felt just like it did at the start of the season, which was great news.
Heat Race: P7 ➡️ P6
The feature moved quickly with 14 cars, only 2 cautions, and tough competition all night. The car still felt great and we were able to move forward again — that’s all we can ask for right now.
Feature: P12 ➡️ P9
Huge thank you to Jace Baloun, Uncle Mark, Jayme Peterson, Larry Kerr, Victorya Dykema-Ryan, Heath, and my mom for all the help in the shop getting this thing back together. Racing really has some of the best people — people who will put their own schedules aside to help someone else get back on track.
Also a huge thank you to all of our sponsors for helping keep this thing going all season:

Damage report from Dakota state fair speedway. The car has to go to the doctors and get fixed up. We are heading to the frame rack to fix the front end and we have some work to do on the rear.
A big thanks goes out to Tanner Zweifel, Mark, and Mary Lee Klebsch for helping in the pits and also getting this thing loaded after the races. That was a process. Also thanks to the track workers at Dakota state fair speedway for their help, that was appreciated.
Another BIG thanks goes to the sponsors, it’s the times like these where we couldn’t do it without their help. Remember to support those who support dirt track racing

Decided to make a three day trip this weekend with the race car and had a great time. We ended up going to two tracks we have never been to before and they were awesome to race on.
Friday we made the trip to Montevideo Minnesota and raced the Timmy Ims ALS Midwest mod special. They had a great turn out at 38 bmods showed up to compete. In the heat we started 8th and ended up 7th and in the b feature we also started 8th and ended up 5th. They only took the top 3 from my b feature so we did not make the big show
Saturday we went to Madison MN and had a fun track to race on as well. In the heat we started 6th and ended 6th and we had a dnf in the feature. Unfortunately we hit a tractor tire with 5 laps to go bending our steering arm and ending our night.
Sunday we went to Watertown where it unfortunately was rained out.
Thanks to all the sponsors for making trips like this possible and to my pit crew for helping with the car!

Last night the car felt like a rocket ship. We started outside pole in the feature and had a great start. We took the lead in the first corner and held the lead for 10 of the 15 lap feature. Unfortunately I slid up a little too high and a couple cars got underneath me and took a few spots. We finished the race 3rd, but the car is coming home in one piece and that’s a win in itself.
A big thanks to our sponsors that make this all possible

Since our home track rained out we decided to make a trip and head to a track we’ve never been to before. Jamestown speedway was a fast and really fun track that I hope to come back to another day! The rebel midwest mod tour was there and we had 37 bmods there. We didn’t make it out of the b main but learned a lot and had a lot of fun! Have to give a shout out to our sponsors that make trips like this possible!
