Putting the new laser engraver to work. Laser engraving a PMAG to get that tan marking.
We are excited to announce a new offering of products and services that we have recently added to Walberg Precision LLC. We will now be offering Laser and Rotary engraving services! We got this opportunity with the sad passing of Len Wolf of Able Engraving. He used to do all my engraving work and was a great man to sit and visit with. After having some talks with his wife Adele, we were able to obtain all of his equipment and look forward to continue what Len had started for his current customers and future ones of ours. As you can see below, we have engraved on several items to show just some of the many possibilities. Contact me at 605-380-4651 or Brittany at 605-380-8496 for any inquiries.
Sorry I have not posted anything for a bit. It has been a crazy time lately. I did this pistol and suppressor in the Typhoon Kryptek camo. It is done with Graphite Black, Sniper Grey, and Titanium. Quite a process but turns out pretty good. I also have gotten locked into the Cerakote Certification Course in the future. They are quite a ways out but I am now listed on the cerakote website as Coming Soon!
Here is a Cerakote coating job for the coyote hunters out there. Snow sagebrush camouflage. Coated with Stormtrooper White, Magul OD Green, and Magpul FDE. Everything the customer brought he wanted coated, the bipod is just for pictures. We coated the scope, mount, rifle, foregrip, and 2 mags. Really fun project to do.
Come see us at the South Dakota Trappers show located at the Fairgrounds Expo building in Aberdeen, SD. Starts today at noon and Saturday at 9am.
Here is a another project to show that you can coat anything. This knife was lost outside for over 3 years. I stripped it down and coated it with Hunter Orange and Highland Green. There will be more posts soon, there have been many projects that have come in and just been trying to keep up.
Here was another fun first. Had a customer that had to replace the limbs on his bow. They no longer came in the camo pattern of his old ones. So he had me coat the riser of the bow in Burnt Bronze. The last two pictures show the old camo pattern. Pretty sharp looking bow now!
This was the first time coating a knife. D. Efraimson Designs made the knife. He brought me the blank for me to coat then put the handles on after. It turned out great. Look him up for knife work. Look forward to doing more work with him.
Here is another coating job. Frame and slide is done in Socom Blue and all the accents pieces are done in Battleship Grey. The pictures don't really do the Socom Blue justice. It is a deep blue.
These were some fun projects. Both pistols are Glock 23's and the rifle is a MSAR (Steyr Aug copy). The MSAR and one Glock 23 were done in Distressed Tattered American Flag, and the other Glock is done in Tattered American Flag. Quite a process but they turned out great.
I had this coating done a little while ago just finally getting caught up with posting. This was another customer's Bergara HMR rifle. The main color is Desert Sand with Tiger Stripes in Graphite Black.
Here I coated the customer Bergara HMR. The bolt, rail, and lines of the stencil are in Cobalt. The main color is in Coyote Tan. The pattern is the outlines of the Kryptek camo pattern.
Here is a coating I just finished up. Started as an all black Beretta M9. The slide is done in Burnt Bronze, frame is in Titanium, and the grips and magazine bases are in Coyote Tan. I think the color scheme turned out to fit very well.
Quick note to everyone. I have just published a website at www.walbergprecisionllc.com. Take a look at the photos and pricing on it. If you have any questions feel free to call and email anytime.

Here is another cerakote project. I think the colors the customer picked really matched up well. It started out as a normal all black Benelli Super Black Eagle. The action and barrel is done in OD Green. The stock and forend is done in Coyote Tan. All the accent pieces bolt, trigger, safety, etc is done in Desert Sand.
Here was an accurizing package done on a customer's rifle. It came here as a 223 Rem Stainless Rem 700. The customer had already put that stock on it. We opened the bolt face up to standard size and machined the Sako Extractor mod. I blueprinted the action and chambered a 20" Lilja barrel with Diamond Fluting in 22 Creedmoor. Tactical bolt knob installed. All the metal parts were cerakoted in house with 3 colors that matched the stock in a blended camo scheme. The barreled action was Devcon bedded into the stock. Triggertech Primary trigger is set at 2 lbs.
This was a fun quick little project. Customer brought me is factory stock Smith and Wesson M&P. He just had me slot the slide up front so you can see the barrel. He then had me Cerakote the barrel and the trigger in Gold. Pretty simple but it definitely changed the look of it! He said this way it won't get mixed up with his buddies black pistols.
Here was a fun little project. Had to machine a custom mount to mount a Trijicon RMR and flashlight in front of the ejection port so it would be easier to load. It is machined out of 6061 Aircraft Grade aluminum. Customer will coat it himself. The rear section is picatinny for the flashlight and the front is drilled and tapped with hardened pins for the RMR.
Here is an update from a customer after some load development. I had blueprinted and chambered this customer's Tikka T3 in 6mm Rem Ackley Improved. Bartlein 2B contour 5R rifling with a 1:7.5 twist. The first group was 1.25" at 500 yds. That's 0.24 MOA! The next group that is in the orange was done a week later, measured 1.1" at 500 yds. That's 0.21 MOA!
Finished this Build for a customer the other day. Customer supplied his own Tikka T3X to build off of. Blueprinted the Tikka action. Chambered a Proof Research Carbon Fiber barrel in 6.5 PRC 24" long. Muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 with a smooth threaded protector to keep a sleek look. All that nestled into a Manners Elite Carbon Fiber stock. Devcon bedded for one to one fit. Aftermarket bottom metal that still accepts the Tikka Mags. Factory bolt handle was replaced with a threaded one with a tactical bolt knob. All the metal was Cerakoted in house in Graphite Black.
Here is a custom build that got the final coating this last weekend. It start life as a plain Springfield XD 4". It got all new competition trigger and sear, threaded barrel, tall Trijicon Sights, Titanium and polished striker and components in the slide, slide racker, flared mag well, magazine extensions, and extended grip safety. The compensator was made custom from solid 6061 aluminum. The trigger and sear had to be hand fitted. Slide was milled down to accept the Vortex Venom red dot. The slide was also milled to match the compensator lines and accents. The gun had to be tuned with the right springs to function with the compensator and to run nice and smooth. The slide was Cerakoted in Graphite Black and Sky Blue along with the accent pieces. This was a really fun project!
Cerakote Firearm Coating
Walberg Precision LLC is happy to announce that it is now offering Cerakote Firearm Coating! Did a lot of coating this weekend. Some custom builds that will be posted shortly and others like the factory pistol below that we coated the frame for a customer. I am using the baked on high temp coating. Inquire via email or call/text for more information.
I know that I have not posted anything for a bit. Been trying to play catch up in the shop. The weather wasn't playing nice to let me get any good pictures outside but here they are. These two rifle were accurizing builds for two brothers. I call these accurizing builds since the customers had these rifles and wanted them reworked to be tack drivers. The one with the brown stock is a Rem 700 now chambered in 300 PRC with a Lilja Stainless barrel. Aluminum Pillar Bedded with Titanium Devcon bedding. The rifle with the black stock is a Bergara now blueprinted and chambered in 300 PRC with a Proof Research Carbon Fiber barrel. Aluminum Pillar Bedded with Titanium Devcon bedding. Triggertech trigger set at 2 lbs. Got more work done so more posts coming.
Here was a build that was designed around my customer mountain hunts. It is a Remington 700 blueprinted and smoothed. Carbon Six carbon fiber barrel chambered and machined in house in 7mm Rem Mag. Barrel length was kept short at 17 inch long. My customer wanted it short so when he has his suppressor on, it doesn't hit the trees as much in the mountains. It is sitting in a Christensen Arms carbon fiber thumbhole stock. The stock was aluminum pillar bedded. Triggertech Primary trigger set at 2.5 lbs. HS Precision detachable magazine bottom metal. Sitting on top is a Burris Eliminator III.
This build I completely a little while ago and just didn't have time to post it. So I'm finally getting to it. This build was done on a Stiller Tac 300 action. Hart straight fluted barrel was chambered in house in 25-06 Ackley Improved. Nestled into a MPA chassis in Burnt Bronze color. The grip was changed out to fit what the customer liked better. Sitting on top is a Burris Eliminator III in 4-16x50. Overall fun build to see come together.
Here is an update from a previous job for a customer. I rebarreled a FNTSR into 6.5 PRC with a Bartlien barrel. After a bit of load development, my customer shot this group just the other day when the weather was nice. He had a slight side wind to play with. That's a 2" group at 750 yds shooting the 147gr ELD-M. Thats 0.25 MOA Accuracy!
This was a lightweight build for my customer. Remington 700 action blueprinted and smoothed out. Proof Research Carbon Fiber barrel 24" long chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. Pillar bedded into a Christiansen Arms Carbon Fiber Thumbhole stock. Triggertech Primary trigger set at 3lbs. HS Precision detachable magazine bottom metal. The gun weighs in at 7lbs 1 oz. Sitting on top is a Leupold VX5-HD 3-15x44mm. I made a smooth thread protector for the muzzle so it blends in nice. Fun build.
Come see me at the Sioux Falls Gun Show if you are in town. Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-3.

Here is a build done for a customer getting into the PRS shooting. Impact action. Bartlien M24 Contour barrel chambered in 6mm Dasher. Triggertech Diamond trigger set at 1 lb. All that tucked into a Masterpiece Arms chassis with the vertical grip and all the adjustments you want. Customer already has the optic. I also chambered a second barrel so the customer will have a barrel ready to go when the first one gets shot out.
This build was done on a Rem 700 Left Hand. It is chambered in 220 Swift Ackley Improved. Action was blueprinted. Tactical bolt knob installed. External bolt release was installed. Bolt was fluted with a diamond pattern to match the barrel. Triggertech Primary trigger set at 2 lbs. The barrel is a Lilja cut to 20" and threaded with Diamond fluting. AG Composites carbon fiber stock. Pillar bedded with Titanium Devcon. Badger DBM bottom metal. Sitting on top is a Leupold VX-5HD 4-20x52. It was built on a long action to accommodate seating the long heavy bullets out passed what the short action magazine is capable of. Duracoating was done by Montstr Specialities. The red and grey was mixed to match the stock colors.
Just finished this full build. It started as a straight bolt Austrian Mauser 98. Bolt handle was cut and rewelded to allow for scope and threaded for bolt knob. Receiver was drilled and tapped to mount a Picatinny Rail. Action was blueprinted. Chambered in 257 Roberts with a Lilja barrel. Mcmillan A3-5 Stock in Coyote Ambush. Installed a Limbsaver recoil pad instead of the decelerator pad. DBM bottom metal to use standard AI mags. Aluminum pillar bedded. Timney trigger set at 2.5 lbs. Mounted a Burris Eliminator 3 on top. Duracoating was done by Montstr Specialties.
Come see me at the gun show in Rapid City, SD.
