Texas football coaching legend Gary Gaines, 73, passes away Gaines coached at Abilene High, ACU, and most notably Odessa Permian. He died on Monday.

Wylie Little League 8-10 year olds start the Texas West State Tournament with a 10-6 victory over Midland Northern. Wylie plays in the winner's bracket on Saturday at 6pm at Kirby Lake Park Field #2.

Ahmad Brooks earned 8 letters at Abilene High School via 🏈, ⚽️, ⚾️ and 🏃♂️. He was a 3-year starter at DB for the University of Texas Longhorns, served as team captain as a senior, and then played 3 years in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints.
