Abilene Special Roping

Coming Sept 18-21, 2025 will host the Title Fights and All Girl Team Roping in Abilene Tx at the ; special note: We will not have the Abilene Special Breakaway event. We sincerely appreciate all the breakaway ropers and sponsors and production crew that have supported this event the past six years!! So many great champions were crowned and memories were made!! Appreciate you all!! See you at the WSTR Title Fights and All Girl Team Roping!!

I’m lost for words with the scene with Billy Klapper.

If you’re not in our world, I’ll explain.

Bill Klapper was one of the last of the old cowboys. He was a real life bit and spur maker. He’s the one that gave Rip the spurs in the show.

The scene thereafter where they discussed he was the last of the legends is wild.

Bill Klapper passed on just a couple months ago.
