Last weekend at the STS “State Tournament” in Clyde, TX - we had the opportunity to come along side this family. We’re very proud of all the players, families and coaches for helping make this happen for Nixon.

Nixon is 12, he is from Brownwood and has played baseball since he was 4. He plays for the Brown County Bandits and wears the number 24. He is in 6th grade at Brookesmith ISD. His birthday is on 5/6 and will be 13. He has Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 2a. He will be participating in a clinical study for treatment. He will do 2 months of chemo, and then hopefully be apart of the 50% picked for immunotherapy in this study, making his treatment easier on him, and the long term side affects less!

His favorite verse is Philippians 4:13. He had stayed very brave and strong through this process, and he is so thankful for every single person in our FCA, and baseball, and softball community for standing beside him as he battles cancer.

Baseball isn’t just a sport to him, it’s his favorite thing in the world. He can’t wait to play again, but in the mean time he said play your hearts out and he is rooting for you! Go hit a dinger for him!
