It is with great regret and disappointment that we are unable to fulfill our wishes for the annual Team Sorting. Due to record high cattle prices, producers have to take advantage of price per pound. With difficulties and rescheduling for the EHV-1 virus and the snow blizzard have put us at the mercy of cattle availability. My sinceriest apologies to our loyal fans and contestants. Thank you for your support over the past years.
Annual TCSOA Sorting
Where good hands and good hearts come together.
I hate to say but Iโm glad we moved our dates! This past weekend would have been a cancelation for us. We hope everyone is staying warm and safe!
Dear Friends and Contestants, We appreciate your patience and support and kindly request that you bear with us for a short while longer. Due to unforeseen staffing constraints that underpin the feasibility of this event, we have rescheduled it for February 21st. Weather forecasts indicate that February should see average temperatures ranging from 50-60 degrees. We apologize for any inconvenience this rescheduling may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please continue to follow our updates, and we look forward to seeing you all there. Thank you.
Dear valued participants, we are pleased to announce availability for rescheduling our sorting event on January 24th. Due to the recent EHV virus concerns, we prudently decided to reassess the situation after the NFR and year-end, evaluating new cases and determining the best course of action for our horses.
Following a review of the latest updates, we have found no new confirmed cases. We are now gauging interest for the proposed date and would appreciate it if you could indicate your attendance plans. Please note that our scheduling is contingent upon Taylor County Expos' availability and weather conditions. Delaying further may lead to venue and cattle availability issues, as well as potential weather complications. Kindly comment below regarding your attendance plans. We appreciate your continued support.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has continued to support us throughout the years. We kindly request that you continue to show your support and be patient with our rescheduling of the event. We hope everyone navigates these challenging times of the EHV outbreak successfully. It is too early to determine when it will be safe to host our sorting, and, in my opinion, December will likely be too early.
Ideally, I would prefer to aim for January before the colder month of February. March and April are typically difficult to predict due to our unpredictable West Texas weather. Additionally, we will be dependent on the Expoโs calendar and availability. Please continue to follow us for updates, and we wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

Due to this outbreak of EHV the sorting will be rescheduled. As of right now we're not sure when it will be scheduled but we will inform everyone as soon as we have a new date. In the mean time stay safe, and make sure you vaccinate your horses!

If any contestants have been exposed to the recent outbreak, please do not attend our event. Please be responsible and refrain from jeopardizing the health of other participants' horses.

IN TEXAS
We have confirmed exposure risk for horses that attended the WPRA Finals on November 4-9 or the 377 Arena on November 15 and 16. If your horse was at either location, quarantine immediately for the next 14 days and do not leave the premises during this time.
If you have an appointment with us, please do not unload your horses. You may come inside to check in, but keep your horses in the trailer until a staff member comes out to assist you. This helps protect every horse on the property.

EHV spreads through nose to nose contact, shared buckets or tack, contaminated trailers, airborne droplets from coughing or snorting, and from people who handle exposed horses.

Do not panic. Just be proactive. Good biosecurity, quarantine, and early symptom monitoring go a long way toward keeping your horse and the community safe.

Donโt forget to take advantage of Friday night practice at 6:30 PM. Only $20. What a deal.
Books open at 8 AM Saturday morning. We will start with the Youth Division.
Do not forget that our Youth Division will commence on Saturday morning. Registration will open at 8 AM, with an anticipated start time of 9-9:30 AM. It is always a pleasure to observe the young competitors. This event provides an excellent opportunity to introduce children to an equestrian sport in a controlled environment with a slow pace, teaching them to read cattle and focus on horsemanship skills. Additionally, the first-place winner in the Youth Division will receive a buckle. Get those kiddos entered up!
