March 14 8am-3pm
South Holston River volunteers AND Watauga volunteers will meet at Ingles (768 W Elk Ave) in Elizabethton at 8am March 14th! Please note this is different than previous years. Both river crews will meet in Elizabethton. Biscuits, bags and gloves will be provided!

After Clean up Celebration 4pm will be at the Elizabethton Moose Lodge 288 Lovers Lane, Elizabethton. Food and drink provided, beer available for purchase!

A variety of foods in the bellies today. Bows and browns both coming out to play.
A good amount of fish came to the boat today.
All of the fish today were in slack water or on the soft side of the seems and all caught on the bottom fly of an in-line rig.

I had the privilege of volunteering Saturday morning with Crossroads Kids Ministry. A great time of fellowship, friendship and teaching kids (and adults) the joy of fly fishing. They were also able to bait fish and target practice.
Huge thanks to Dave Williams and Neal Kilgore for the invite and use of the pond.
So many things to be learned from the outdoors and from fishing.
I find i get more excited than the kids most of the time.
