The Road to France 2026 of the ICO - International Combat Organisation is officially on the books.
Now time to get back to the basics, work, and life in general. To start preparing for what next lies ahead. The whole ICO USA International Combat Organisation United States of America team was phenomenal from the coaches, the competitors and the families. Made some new friends from across the nation, and across the globe.
It was a different set of rules and events. Then what I am more accustomed to doing. But overall for an old karate guy from Smyth County, VA. To get the chance to compete and represent the United States of America on a world stage. Along with bringing home two Bronze medals. I cannot complain.
I owe it all to each of my sponsors for helping get me there. To my family for their support and encouragement. To my instructor GM Penny Shannon for training me over the years. To all my fellow competitors on the Dojo Organization. Who have been giving me the competition to do better. To my students who understood I needed to be away from teaching over the past week.
Ultimately I thank the Lord above for keeping me healthy all these years and free from injury. While preparing for this event.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
