Hello Body Works Fitness Family. We wanted to give you an update regarding fitness centers in Virginia. According to today's news conference fitness centers are still NOT allowed to open their doors in any capacity to members for at least another week. We hope next week we will be guided into Phase 2. Even though we may not agree with the fact that our area should be in the same Phase 1 as northern Virginians who have been more widely affected by the virus we will abide by the laws of our great state since the ultimate goal is to keep us ALL safe and reduce the number of unnecessary deaths and to help keep our Southwest Virginia area as virus free as possible.
It is a painful financial decision, however we will continue to abide by the mandates of the State of Virginia to help keep our employees, our members, our community, our state, and our nation safe. In the meantime, we are implementing safety protocols and guidelines to keep you healthy once we are able to re-open.
In the meantime, please feel free to message us with requests for access to free classes on YouTube and FREE pop up classes as weather permits. And we hope to see ALL of you in person in the very near future!

Hello Body Works Fitness Family!
We wanted to take the time to express our gratitude to all the people who donated their memberships in April, and to those who could not we understand and sympathize with your situation.
In May we have not charged any memberships. We assumed we would be allowed to open back up sometime during the month. However, it appears it will be June before we will be able to open our doors per the Governor. But, Phase 1 effective May 15th is allowing us the opportunity to hold outdoor classes with a limit of 10 people, spaced 10 feet apart and we are working on those plans right now as well as some other types of outdoor workouts.
During the shutdown we have continued to develop new ways to keep in contact with our members with online classes, and online personal training. We are also taking this time to clean and disinfect our facility from top to bottom and have just finished having the carpets commercially cleaned. We are connecting with other clubs around the nation to garner more ideas regarding a safe re-opening and continued service to our community.

[05/04/20] Our possible re-open date has been moved to May 15th. We are to receive new detailed guidelines from the governor regarding fitness center operating rules and cleaning protocols. However, even before those guidelines are released we are developing our own standards of care for our members and staff and are also in the process of deep cleaning and disinfecting the fitness center from the ceiling to the floors and everything in between.
