** Covid Update **
With todays announcement by the Governor, we have to make some adjustments to our plan within Webster Timber Lanes and Luci's Pizza Bar. The below should clear up some questions. This starts December 13.
1. Most importantly - We are still open under Phase III, step one as a low contact indoor recreation facility and in general, we have already been operating within the following additional guidelines
2. Capacity - Our Capacity is the lower of 40% of our occupancy or 8 people per thousand square feet - we have already been operating under this guidance
3. Seating at Luci's - Limited to 6 per table, we only had one table that sat more and we just reduced the chairs to 6
4. Timing - Restaurant visits will be limited to 90 minutes, no change to the bowling alley.
5. Masks - Similar to the bowling alley, the new plan requires all guests to wear masks, except when consuming food or drink - regardless of where you sit in either the restaurant or the bowling alley
As a reminder - Webster Timber Lanes and Luci's Pizza Bar have been operating under strict guidance since we were allowed to open in July. Our daily routine includes all of the below and more:
> Daily cleaning by professional cleaner
> Thorough cleaning of bowling and restaurant areas in between each customer
> Additional cleaning of hard surfaces throughout.
> Plexi glass installed separating customers and employees at all serving/register areas
> We encourage and offer contactless transactions
> Employees wear masks during all shifts and take temperatures before each shift as well as answer a questionnaire on interactions.
> We enforce all Covid related restrictions on mask use, access to sanitizer and we actively promote social distancing

** Covid Restrictions Update**
Small update to our Covid-19 Plan. Based on direction from the Town of Abington and the new mask mandate from the Governor, masks must be worn in our Bowling Area except while consuming food and drink.
In short, here is the guidance. While you are bowling, keep your mask on at all times (included when you are seated). If you order food and drink to your lanes, that's fine, you are allowed to lower your mask to consume the food and drink at your lane and then replace it when finished.
The restaurant area (Luci's Pizza Bar) will continue to fall under the restaurant rules which allow seated guests to remove their mask while at their tables.
** As a reminder, please keep in mind that the Governors mandate that an order of an alcoholic beverage requires a prepared food item with your 1st order, is still in effect.
We appreciate our customers help in complying with these guidelines and hope that all these efforts result in less cases and a final end to this virus.

** Covid Rules Update **
Please be advised that due to the Governors recent order, we will need to make some changes at Webster Timber Lanes to be in compliance.
1. Effective Immediately - Masks must be worn at all times (including while bowling), except when eating or drinking and then only while seated. As a reminder, the rule regarding the ordering of a prepared food item with your first alcohol purchase is still in effect.
2. Starting this Friday 11/6/20, Webster Timber Lanes will be closing at 9:30PM. This means that last call will be at 9:00PM and the kitchen will also stop taking "dine in" orders at 9:00PM as well. Customers and employees must exit the building by 9:30PM.
Webster Timber Lanes will also continue to execute our plan to provide a safe and sanitized environment for our customers and employees. This includes the proper use of PPE - masks, gloves & hand sanitizer; as well as maintaining the proven practices of social distancing, constant sanitizing of all surfaces (especially in the bowling area) and self screening before entering the bowling alley. We appreciate, in advance, the cooperation of our customers and employees as we work through this program and look forward to the day when we can fully reopen our facility.

Re-Opening The Bowling Alley Update - With the recent announcement by Gov. Baker, our planned reopening is tentatively at the beginning of Phase 3, which should happen in the first half of July. This will also require approval from the local board of health and will likely come with some restrictions on our capacity and procedures we will must use at the alley.
We will not have an update on Summer Bowling & Cribbage Leagues until we get more clarity on capacity and procedures.
Re-Opening the Restaurant & Bar Update - We have submitted questions through our state representative regarding the restaurant and bar (the information regarding opening bars/restaurants does not fit out establishment), more to come on this.
As I mentioned before, work continues on Luci's Pizza Bar as we push forward towards opening for take out. The floor is being repaired as we speak and this should be done in a week. After that, its all about finish work & inspections - so we are still 3-5 weeks from being able to open. .

The most important part of all of these phases and openings is that everyone does their part. We will do our part in cleaning the facility, providing safe distances, access to PPE and putting procedures in place to limit interactions where possible. We need you, our customers- to come back when we open... but please ensure that you are healthy before you enter and please follow what we need to temporarily put in place to protect you and other guests.

** Update on Re-Opening & Summer Leagues**
Good afternoon to all the faithful followers of Webster Timber Lanes & the NEW Luci's Pizza Bar! I wanted to update everyone on where we stand with our plans to re-open.
To start with - we are under the guidance of the Governor of MA and the Town of Abington as to when we can open any or all of our business to customers. Based on what I have reviewed so far, I would expect that the bowling alley, restaurant and bar will all re-open at different times due to capacity and restrictions on industry.
Some good News - Once Luci's Pizza Bar is finished and inspected (and we have staff trained), we should be able to open for takeout! We are working very hard, but being especially cautious to make sure workers are separated and safe. We should get there in 2-4 weeks.
For the rest of the business:
There is a 4 phase approach announced by Gov. Baker that many people have seen at this point...and this is the most detailed information I have available. Here is my take on where we fit in:
Phase 1 - Starts tomorrow and includes limited industries and severe restrictions. We will not be opening with Phase 1 as all parts of our business need less restrictions to open.
Phase 2 - Dates have not been announced. This phase has limited capacity available and more industries. This phase is a toss up - will bowling, restaurants and bars be included here??. If we can get enough capacity to open the restaurant for sit down meals, then we will try to do this. Anything less than 75 person capacity for the building will preclude us from opening the alley up, but we'll decide on this when we get closer to opening
Phase 3 - Additional industries resume with guidance. We should be able to open the bowling alley, restaurant and bar up with new procedures to reduce or eliminate the spread of any germs. Bottom line here is that we will need to know what the guidance is and be able to prepare to open under that guidance and still provide customers with a good experience.
Phase 4 - New Normal, with a vaccine - this is a ways off from what I can tell
** Summer Leagues ** - Several people have signed up or expressed interest in Leagues. My honest answer is that I don't know when these could possibly start until we get into the re-opening phases. I have way more questions than answers at this point. My gut tells me that we will not expect to start in June, but I am optimistic that July is still possible.

Summer Leagues and Renovation Update

Hi folks! Kris the page admin here - and I forgot to post the letter from John, the new owner. Please see below!!
On March 31, 2020, Governor Baker announced that non-essential businesses should remain closed through May 4th, 2020. In compliance with this request, Webster Timber Lanes and Squires Loft will be closed until at least that date.
The majority of Bowling Leagues will be cancelling the remainder of their Winter League Season and distributing prize money. Please contact the Bowling Alley directly at (781) 878-0219 or email to [email protected] to get information on your specific league and when prize money will be available.
While we wait to be re-opened, we have been making progress on renovations (under strict guidelines) and hope to be completed by the time everyone is invited to come back and bowl again. We will be posting photo’s of the progress that is being made – We hope you enjoy the updates!
